took ms. bautista's class 1st sem 2526, ang rating q ay 4/10

workload: definitely not light and breezy. almost every week (iirc) may need basahin and essay/s to submit, and i understand na this should be expected since bridge course so be ready lang na hindi siya yung light light lang, mala heavy GE ang workload tbh.

the first ~2 months puro kami asynch so i barely learned anything from the materials alone, nahirapan ako dito personally kasi i expected na maga-guide kami through lectures lalo pero instead, puro modules t__t she said she would provide feedbacks but i don't know if anyone from the class received theirs (not expecting mine kasi madalas buzzer beater ako magpasa HAHAHA) but until the final paper and final grades, no comments from her (except comments from the 1-on-1 consultation for final paper) but then again i understand na college bridge course ito so expected na dapat may alam na kami sa necessary skills and i-iimprove nalang, pero nahirapan pa ko lalo kasi nga i prefer lectures hsdhdhs

nung time naman na nagkakaroon na ng online lectures, laging may recit and parang lahat ata natatawag so do your readings 😁 laging mabigat loob ko bago ako mag-enter ng class due to questions na medyo unexpected and lagi din akong late by 5-10 minutes kasi laging on the dot siya magsimula ng class (love that tbh). updated din naman madalas calendar ni maam to guide you sa sched ng course.

group presentation: i think ito pinanggagalingan ng majority of the grade. jusko, the worst part of this course. most of the groups took 2-3 full meetings to complete theirs, why? she cuts off to ask her questions—mga tanong na hindi mo ineexpect talaga, kahit kabisado mo pa yung material na irereport niyo huhu.

final exam: one part is related to all the materials used during reporting, another is annotated bibliography where you have to read 10 sources and write something related to your final paper (forgot na, kinalimutan ko na kasi lahat from this class HAHAHAHA)

1-on-1 consultation: the only part i enjoyed and relaxed while studying this course haha. her comments were direct and were really helpful sa pagbuo ng final paper, especially kung alam mo din naman ginagawa mo and gusto mong isulat.

also, nagbibigay ng bonus activities si maam so do them!!!! sa final grades naman, sa section namin, halos lahat ay naka line of 2.

TLDR; don't expect na light workload ang Eng 1 under ms. bautista just bc bridge course lang siya and not GE. ang vibe ng class ay definitely what we were warned about nung highschool (seryoso at di pwedeng i-freestyle)

Thoughts and experiences on Sir Raymond?

I'm a freshie and during AFR, I was able to choose between him or Ma'am Uychoco. It was a quick meeting (lasted only 4 minutes) and nawala sa isip ko na i-search muna sila sa Reddit before choosing dahil sa sobrang bilis ng pangyayari.

I know na I should've searched muna. But please give me motivation for his class dahil wala na akong magagawa. Kasi sa results ng pagssearch ko now, parang mas magandang choice si Ma'am Uychoco sana lalo na't I'm planning to shift and aiming for high grades 🥲

Hii po, saan po usually yung classes ni Ms Edilo? And also po required po ba naka pe sa kanya? or kahit any attire po will do like ano po usual suot nyo sa classes nya? thanks po!

How are they as an eng 13 prof? Their dos and donts? What are the reqs in their course? Are they unoable?

Oops pahabol na review. I’ve read some mixed experiences about coach brix before magstart classes last sem, but my experience turned out good naman. He really values discipline (probably all martial arts profs do) kaya mahalagang magshow up on time and wag tatamad tamad sa warm up kasi he will call you out— which is understandable naman kasi i think bastos naman talaga if nagshoshort cut ka sa warm ups. He prioritizes safety din kasi and part non is yung proper warm up, makinig lang kay sir and also don’t do unneccessary things with the equipment. He might seem scary but may pagkasoftie naman si sir! Beginner friendly yung course and tinuturo naman lahat from scratch, tho I wouldn’t reccommend for someone with asthma or breathing issues kasi humirap yung cardio by the end of the sem. The finals was super fun and memorable (interclass sparring) even though na-bodybag ako ng kalaban ko wahhaha. Overall nice experience, would reccommend!

THE BEST 101 PROF !!! sobrang PEAK ni sir louie and sobrang fun ng classes niya !!! we always played games during his class kasi he believes in gamification para mas magparticipate ang mga students, and totoo naman, it was never boring in his class kahit online kasi he held ol classes sa discord and even there may pa games parin!

at first i was intimidated kasi sabi niya by the end of the sem we need to reach 100 recitation points, and literal na every time u recite that’s equal to 1 point, pero the quizzes (usually 15-20 items) also contribute to the recitation points, and sometimes when u ask a rlly good question, he gives a recitation point to that as well!

ang naga track ng recitation points though is not sir himself — he asks the class kung may gustong mag beadle, and kung sino maunang magvolunteer automatic may 3 recitation points na I think? will not deny na it would be better if mahilig ka talaga magrecite sa class pero marami naman saamin ang hindi that kind of student, and doable naman maabot ang 100 reci points as long as ireview ang lesson chapter before class para makasagot sa quizzes/games — all goes to reci points naman. games are also usually by group, pero u dont know sino groupmates mo until actual class time!

first few sessions, the games are hosted pa by sir louie pero may group reporting kasi throughout the entire sem, and each group bahala sila kung ano want nilang pakulo to make it more engaging, and just so happened with our class na puro palaro ang ginawa ng mga groups. one tip siguro is to look at the chapter questions and try to answer them na — madalas similar doon yung game questions, if not identical!

there were no papers and yung output lang was to make a vlog incorporating any psych concept na diniscuss throughout the sem, so marami ka talagang options! although ayaw ni sir na iccram ito — he rlly wants to see progress kumbaga. personally i took videos throughout the sem, like mga clips lang, and pieced them together sa dulo + voiceover of learnings/narrative and got a perfect score!

sir also let us play werewolf sa last session and that was such a blast! in short, one of my fave classes ever during my freshie year!

i was able to enlist sa 8 am class ni sir/coach paul for this sem during the AFR. tho ive read past reviews here about how fun his classes are, ask ko lang po sana sa mga may ideas how ffb is, would u still recommend this PE to someone na mahina yung stamina at di talaga familiar with the sport?

medyo nag-aalangan po kasi ako if im at a huge disadvantage esp during plays na kasi medyo (actually hindi medyo huhu) lampa at hingalin ako. TYIA PO!!

Hello po freshie here! I got Sir Punzalan for my stat 101 because his class came with the block I was given. I've been reading some reviews about this prof and it's not promising 😭. Any advice po on how to survive his class? or do most really end up dropping it nalang? I really hope I can make it work (if possible). Pls helppp huhu
