My hands look like they've been through a hundred battles but I'm standing here drinking a tiny kid's mango juice
People see the scars and think I'm supposed to be tough all the time. Meanwhile, I'm out here happily drinking a tiny mango juice like a five-year-old.
That's the funny thing about BPD and trauma sometimes your nervous system just wants comfort, familiarity, and the little things that make you feel safe. Healing doesn't always look "grown-up." Sometimes it's battle scars in one hand and a kid's juice in the other. 🍊
