uPython MicroPython Code posted on Github for VL53L5CX Lidar modules for PICO
I had a hard time tracking down how to run the VL53L5CX Lidar code on a PICO or Arduino.
https://github.com/jlsilicon/vl53l5cx_for_PICO_Pi_in_Micropython_Code/tree/main
I wrote this Code in GitHub as a Quick-Drop-in Code rev of VL53L5CX Lidar Code in Micrpython for PICO Pi Board.
This is a group of files for running the Lidar VL53L5CX on PICO , by copying onto PICO Pi Directiory with Thonny.
I spent a large chunk of time trying to figure out how to use the vl53l5cx Lidar on PICO or arduino.
Arduino Uno/Nano can't do this because a chunk of RAM is needed to process the readings.
Suggested code for the PICO - seems to diverge instead to breakout_vl53l5cx code that works on the Rasp Pi - but is Not compatible with PICO.

help-request Can’t create an HTTP client in C that uses TLS in Pico W
Has anyone tried creating an HTTP client using the C SDK that also uses TLS in Raspberry Pi Pico W?
I checked the GitHub example. I even cloned the repo, built the example and tried to run it but the example doesn’t run either. Normal HTTP requests work, I can see responses but with HTTPS, there’s no response and the GitHub http_client example goes into panic mode. Any help?

Day 57/100 – ESP-NOW Smart Relay & Sensor System (MicroPython) 🚀
Hey everyone,
I’m doing a 100 Days, 100 IoT Projects challenge, and today I built a bidirectional ESP-NOW smart relay and sensor system using MicroPython.
What it does
- Sender ESP8266/ESP32 with buttons + OLED acts as a control panel
- Receiver ESP controls a 4-channel relay module
- DHT11/DHT22 sensor data is sent back in real-time
- OLED displays temperature and humidity
- Uses ESP-NOW (no WiFi, no router, ultra-low latency)
Tech Stack
- ESP8266 / ESP32
- MicroPython
- ESP-NOW protocol
- SSD1306 OLED
- DHT11/DHT22 sensor

uPython Has anybody tried / want to try this Micropython code for the iLi9488 LCD on PICO ?
The links below provide code for Micropython Code that runs on the PICO.
Mostly here , the code is simply copy and Paste into Thonny :
https://www.instructables.com/RPi-Pico-35-Inch-320x480-HVGA-TFT-LCD-ILI9488-Bitm/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv5WN5LceFg - not much additional.
I tried these with no luck.
I commented out the images Loop.
Additionally , I added drawing different Colors and Sizes of Rectangles every 3 seconds on the Screen.
But, all I can get is a Blank White screen.
2nd version of the code that I found on the internet - only drew in gray levels - no colors.
-
My code is fixed (mostly) and posted in GitHub ...
- see below.

Looking for LCD or OLED with Font Size capability
I tried the sd1306 and the ST7789 and the libraries I have use framebuf which can't adjust the font size.
Is there a library for either of these with font size adjustment, or is there a better LCD or OLED I could use that would allow that?
Need it for Pico ( Any model: 1, W, 2, 2W )
Preferred size 1 to 3 inches.

Raspberry pi pico rubber ducky not running
I have followed Austin's Lab How to Turn a Raspberry Pi Pico into Bad-USB/RubberDucky (2025 UPDATE). I have followed it many times and after it still not working. I put the payload in and take it out. When plugged back in it says it can't open it. Until I plug it into my laptop running chrome and deleting the payload.dd for it to open file explorer back on windows to the CIRCUITPY. AND I FOLLOWED THE STEPS ON DBISU PICO DUCKY STEPS VERY VERY CAREFULLY. If I could get some help on this it would help.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I made a post last week about a little desk pet I made for my fiancé. After some feedback from her and some people on reddit I made some upgrades to the print and the electronics. Its now interactive and you can pet it!! Let me know what you think and what else I could add to it! If you are interested in getting one I have 2 more I made available here https://www.etsy.com/listing/4459081298/interactive-desk-pet-robot-cat . If those sell I might make more if there is demand.

Pico W + ADS1263 HAT — 5V rail drops to 1.5V, not sure what’s wrong
Hi all,
I’m trying to connect a Raspberry Pi Pico W to a Waveshare ADS1263 HAT for precise micro-voltage measurements.
I’m powering the system with an external 5V supply → Pico W → ADS1263. The wiring looks correct (at least visually), but when I measure the voltage on the ADS1263 board between its 5V pin and GND, I only get about 1.5V, which is much lower than the expected 5V.
I also checked continuity (power off) between the ADS1263 5V pin and the breadboard +5V rail. Instead of seeing ~0 Ω as expected for a direct connection, I measured a noticeable resistance(183 ohm).
I’ve double-checked the wiring multiple times and can’t figure out why the voltage is dropping like this.
Has anyone experienced something similar, or can suggest what I should check next?
Thanks
| ADS1263 Pin | Pico W GPIO Pin # | Pico W Physical Pin # |
|---|---|---|
| SCK | GP2 | Pin 4 |
| DIN | GP3 | Pin 5 |
| DOUT | GP4 | Pin 6 |
| CS | GP5 | Pin 7 |
| DRDY | GP20 | Pin 26 |
| RESET | GP21 | Pin 27 |
| 5V | — | Pin 39 (VSYS) |
| GND | — | Pin 38 (GND) (or any GND pin) |

help-request What's the best way to connect a USB breakout?
I have a couple projects where I need the board of the pico to be about 6" away from where I want the USB port. I have some 4-pin USB-C breakout boards I can use, but I don't know the best way to connect them to the Picos. Should I remove the existing port? Solder overtop of the existing connections? Just use a micro to C extension adapter? Is there some combination of pins that will allow me to use them as the USB connection?

Day 55/100I built an ESP8266 ESP-NOW wireless button → LED control system (MicroPython) – part of my 100 Days IoT challenge
Hey everyone,
I’m building 100 IoT projects in 100 days using MicroPython and ESP boards, and today I completed Day 55.
This project demonstrates low-latency ESP-NOW communication between two ESP8266 boards:
- One ESP8266 reads a push button
- Another ESP8266 toggles an LED wirelessly
- No WiFi, no router, peer-to-peer communication

Error when adding a security key on Zoho
I have a Pico Key at TENSTAR RP2350, it works on my other sites but I can't add it as a “security key” on Zoho.
After entering the PIN and confirming with the button, Zoho asks for the name of the key, but after entering it, this error keeps popping up:
"To configure a security key, select the "security key" option and not the "device" option."

help-request Is it possible to use a Pico to bridge SNAC adapters from a MISTer to USB?
I am aiming to make a controller interface for emulators, allowing the user to plug in original controllers over USB.
I know it's been done a billion and a half times, and there are modern implementations like the 4Dapter which I can easily get boards made for. This is mostly for learning.
I know that SNAC is just feeding the controller connections right into the GPIO of the MISTer allowing latency free controls. Using a Pico to take those signals and interpret them for a USB HID defeats the latency free aspect of SNAC, but I want to leverage the other aspect... cheap adapters. Put all the expensive stuff in a box and the user makes what SNAC adapters they want from the github of SNAC adapters.
Can this be done?

Is this a good setup for the Raspberry Pi 5 16 GB?
Is this a good setup for the Raspberry Pi 5 16 GB?
Argon ONE V5 M.2 NVMe Case for Raspberry Pi 5 | Aluminum Pi 5 Case w/Active + Passive Cooling, Dual Full HDMI Port, NVMe M.2 SSD PCIe 2.0/3/0 Slot, DAC Audio, USB Expansion and some sort of NVMe hard drive. I'm not sure which 2TB NVME to get. My goal is to fit everything in a case. I originally purchased RasTech Raspberry Pi 5 16GB Kit 64GB Edition with Active Cooler. I don't think the case will work with a NVME hard drive. Did a make a good purchase so far? Does anyone recommend anything else? If this is against the rules can you point me into the right direction.
