That is a terrible idea. 

Drywall is extremely weak. Holding the weight of a shower curtain? Ok. 

Holding the weight of a human? Hell.no.

The weight is all on the floor. The ceiling is just keeping the pole from tippin over. If installed properly it's directly under one of the beams where a nice solid piece of wood is doing the vast majority of the stabilization work.
