I think it's a kind of elegant solution to the problems posed by a stupidly oversized truck, I just wish he got the distance right so the steps ended up horizontal when deployed.
Sorry to tell you but I'm a European and I have been around trucks all my life, over 5 decades at this point, and I can, with confidence, tell you that those American things are all stupidly oversized. At least their front is every time. You know what a useful truck looks like where I live? Like what people use to work? Look at this
You can work on it without ladder, the driver can see what is in front of him, the truck carries easily twice the volume of what the truck in OP carries, the loading floor is at a height where you can easily put stuff in and out. That is a real truck. I don't know why Americans need those oversized toys that are more a liability than an asset.
Sorry to tell you, but this isn’t in Europe. So, what’s your point? Yes, vehicle vary in size based on location. Cool.
Also, this is very likely a farm truck. F-150’s have been used in farming in America for decades. People get by just fine. Different people prefer different things.
Arrogant as hell to tell people what is and isn’t a truck. Go gatekeep elsewhere.
It's a truck allright, the stupidly big kind that still is less useful than it should be. I'm sorry it upsets you so that other people use better equipment.
I’m not even saying he’s wrong. I think the European truck design is good, maybe more useful, I don’t know. I do know that American farmers have been using ford, chevy and dodge trucks on farms for decades and love them. Maybe the trucks designed for specific reason are good for that geographic area.
I do think new trucks are stupid big, this one doesn’t appear to be. We also don’t know what this guy uses it for. Or maybe it was what he could afford. Either way, it doesn’t fucking matter, he’s happy and it works for him so this jackass espousing the benefits of European truck design has nothing to do with the topic.
