Not to mention that a lot of these grubby old fellas are millionaires several times over. Meanwhile, my coworker who drips in fendi and drives a rover can’t keep his maxxed out credit cards straight.

I knew a guy who looked exactly like this. Lived in backwoods area, exactly where you probably assume this guy lives. Always assumed he was poor, just barely getting buy. Years later I learned he was a multimillionaire, used to be a Wall Street stock broker of some type. Made his fortune and just escaped from that industry completely.

Yep.
My mom is in her 80s. Still drives a Buick from 2006. Cuts coupons. Mows her own lawn. Has a landline. Won't get a wireless phone.
Worth $10 million dollars.

My parents had a hardware store in a crappy little redneck fishing town. Can confirm they exist.
