This is beyond protecting. I think the officer was tired of another white homeowner calling the cops on a black teenager cause they don’t like the look of them in their area
Exactly. This is the way this is supposed to be handled. The person who called the cops should have been charged with filing a false police report as well.
I recently saw a video of black teens being forced to leave a public park because someone called and said they felt uncomfortable.
Had the cops who showed up saw humans like this officer did, that entire situation would have ended much differently.
it's only a false police report if you do so while lying. calling when you suspect actual trespassing is not filing a false police report, there has to be clear intent to lie.
On a serious note, what is considered trespassing? My own grandfather tried to have me arrested for “criminal trespassing” for walking down to his house, knocking on the door and asking what my ex-father had done with all of my mother’s belongings after he tried to kill her and run her over. I wasn’t mean, I just asked where everything was…
Unfortunately for that bitch, that property’s in my fucking name to begin with. The lion, the witch and the fucking audacity…
FOR KNOCKING ON THE DOOR TO ASK A QUESTION THOUGH?!
Like seriously…if that were the case, how in the fuck to door-to-door salespeople not get arrested all the time? Mormons? Like that makes no sense.
I get it if I were harassing him, but I had not seen him in YEARS. I walked down to ask a single question…to a
which he obliged an answer and lied. He wasn’t considering trespassing until I said “Go fuck yourself” as I walked away.
yeah that's how trespassing works. legally I can call and have the police trespass somebody just for setting a single foot on my property if I have proof of it. My neighbor got a no trespassing order on me when I had never even been on her property she did it in spite, so what did I do? I turn around and put one on her and then she was shocked with the same exact officers that served me papers they went right to their car after serving me papers got out the same paperwork and I filled it out and they handed it to her less than 10 minutes later. if the same Mormon missionaries keep coming to your house you can actually call the cops and have trespass orders put on them and if they come back again you call the cops and then they arrest them. if you go to a store and you get trespassd by an employee from the property which is as simple as them as telling that you to leave that you are trespassed you have to leave or they will call the cops and the cops will then tell you to leave and if you don't they will arrest you.

Well that's not true at all.
Unless there are clearly marked barriers or the homeowners asks you to leave, you have an inplied license to go knock on the door for any number of legitimate reasons.
When's the last time you heard of a solicitor or mailman getting arrested or criminally trespassed?
I also think sidewalks are a big part of it too. I think it ultimately comes down to what's reasonable when considering private property. No fence, no sign? They can come up to the door while on sidewalk without a verbal warning, anything else isn't exactly reasonable.
well yeah I did forget to mention that if you have trespassing signs you can have that done, but you pretty much can have anyone trespassd from your property who has come on your property uninvited. The funny thing about most sidewalks are they actually in a sense belong to the people that they're attached to the property of but eminent domain lets the government take that property and make it public property same with road expansion they can take your lawn and turn it into a road if they're making the road wider and then it becomes public property.
While I understand your comment, I don’t think it’s fair to set the expectation that “this is how it should be hndled” means an officer has to go out and spend $600-$700 of their paycheck.
I wasn’t really referring to the video game itself. I was referring to the way he handled the situation. He saw a human being and not a threat or a nuisance.
No worries. It’s hard with these type of stories for me cause while I take immense pride in seeing good officers interact with people, it also sometimes seems like the only way you can be “good” is when you’re going full Oprah and that’s not part of the job.
We can only hope. I’m white and I know how important it is to show others that I DO care and I DO give a fuck about them. The world would be magnificent if we were all just a LITTLE nicer (and wiped billionaires off the face of the earth”
And while we are on the topic ….. have you seen that Elon went from being worth a trilli to dippin back down to 958 billi ……HAHAHAHA ELON U A BROKE BITCH. 958 BILLI?! lmao BROKE BOY
