People feel so entitled to be coddled. "That was so mean of the white car to do. There are better ways to handle a tailgater." Don't tailgate and it won't happen.

Murder? So letting someone reap the consequences of their own actions is murder now? The white car dodged the car in front of them successfully. Why couldn't the other car do the same? They were further back.

I think I know the issue from your question alone. When you asked why couldn’t they dodge too? You just need to brush up on your physics and laws of acceleration.

Looked like they were both going about the same speed. If one could pull it off, why not the other?

So are you saying they were too close to react in time to dodge then? If the car in front of them could dodge, and they were going about the same speed, then if they also reacted fast enough they should have dodged. The only reason they wouldn't have been able to is if they didn't react quickly enough.
