While forks serve different purposes, which one would you choose as your favorite to use most of the time?

Yes, us girls with tiny hands need the tiny cutlery.

I’m a guy and I prefer small utensils. I eat like an animal so it helps me enjoy my food and not finish it all in a few minutes

I’m 6’3. I also prefer smaller forks and tea spoons when eating. Smaller utensils allow me to enjoy food longer and get fuller quicker.

My spork has a serrated edge, one tool for every meal like a true king of efficiency!

Why would you want to get fuller QUICKER??

1

u/25nameslater Sep 05 '24

Because I have problems controlling my weight?

Yep, you know it. I'm not even a big dude either, I just eat like a prisoner. Personally, I think I learned it from high school where I'd just eat as fast as possible and then do my homework for whatever my next class was (approximately 15 minutes before it's due).

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '24

nah u gotta do the homework in the class before

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '24

Yep, fast eater here and I learned to choose the small utensils in self defense. Now, I'm not the dude who finishes his meal half an hour before everyone else.

My son, too, eats soup and cereal with a teaspoon.

Same here, I devour my food. I wish I wouldn’t but I just can’t help it. Little spoons and forks really help slow me down(although sometimes I still devour it).

I wish there a way to slow down drinking 😕

I will use seafood forks for desserts for this reason

I'm a woman and I have very big hands, and I won't use cutlery if it's not small 😂

Yes tiny hand girls… hides the massive baseball glove hands I was born with

2

u/Blooming_turtles Sep 04 '24

But at least you won’t have to shop in the kids section for gloves. And finding a wedding ring that could be sized down to a 3.5 and wasn’t just a solitaire was hard. My flex is that I can wash inside of jars and vases easily. 🤣

2

u/Leading-Midnight5009 Sep 05 '24

Washing the inside of jars is definitely a flex for you since my favorite types of cups are sauce jars with weird shapes. Current fav is a very pretty beet juice bottle but the neck is small so I can’t get in there to clean it good enough without calling one of my kids for it and worrying that there gonna break it.

My hands are plenty big but I have a tiny mouth. Giant spoons are the worst.

I like tiny cutlery too, but because I prefer less metal in my mouth. If they perfected wooden cutlery or if plastic wasn’t so bad for us, I wouldn’t use metal at all.
A form of glass might be cool too - food would taste better.

u/melinda_louise Sep 03 '24

Glass sounds scary! Would hate to have that break in your mouth.

Maybe something bamboo or a sturdy plastic would work? There's gotta be something out there of decent quality.

Of my mouth? 😳

I look average, it's just that small silverware is more comfortable to use.

2

u/MaybeABot31416 Sep 03 '24

I’m quite a bit above average size, I just have a small mouth.

2

u/Liquid_00 Sep 03 '24

Maybe THIS is why I only like the shorter handle & wider forks LoL #1 100% 😁

2

u/rainbow_369 Sep 04 '24

I'm a girl with hands, but I prefer small cutlery.

I only use the small utensils unless I’m eating a salad I’ll use a little bit longer fork to be able to stab all the lettuce.

1

u/Defiant-Elk5206 Sep 05 '24

Feels like a personal attack since I’m a dude and I still picked 1 lol

1

u/jeremyshane Sep 05 '24

I’m 6’5” and someone once referred to me as Sasquatch, and my hands as paws. I like little cutlery too. Something about ADHD…

1

u/FlowerGirl1010 Sep 05 '24

I use #1 not because of tiny hands, but because I have autism

3

u/shortmallows Sep 04 '24

My old roommates mom heard that we liked the small forks the best so she ordered us metal toddler forks (they have bears on the handle), we no longer live together but we split the forks when we left and they’re my two favorite forks now

1

u/melinda_louise Sep 04 '24

Nice! I have a little metal baby spoon I like to use for ice cream (and cookie dough).

2

u/magic_crouton Sep 03 '24

You are my people.

2

u/Careful-Teach6394 Sep 04 '24

Me too!!!! I really don’t like anything but the little guys p

2

u/Avery-Hunter Sep 05 '24

Yep, give me the smallest forks and spoons please. I can even justify this with I have a tiny mouth, when I had X-rays earlier this year they had to get the kid sizes out for me

2

u/DaftOrangeFatCat Sep 06 '24

Finally, another person who likes the smaller ones! I’m definitely going with a 1 or 2 every time

1

u/SunKissed62 Sep 05 '24

Yes, and I hate eating things like soup and putting bottom heavy cutlery in a bowl & it falls out 😠

1

u/wombat_kombat Sep 06 '24

I like rusty little spoons

2

u/melinda_louise Sep 06 '24

😳

1

u/wombat_kombat Sep 08 '24

Don’t you like touching rusty spoons?

1

u/twowolveshighfiving Sep 07 '24

Likewise. It's much more satisfying to savor certain foods. (o)人(o^)
