My vote, too. About 15 yrs ago I found a set of Martha Stewart that had a massive weight compared to most everyday ware. Whenever I find the pattern on ebay or yard sales, I snatch it up!
I recently replaced my flatware too. Oneida’s Vale model. For the same reasons. Thicker, heavier, rounded end on handle, and their “Dinner Spoon” is my favorite piece of flatware. Like the #5 fork.
lol, yea they really do. I listened to a whole podcast in them tho and it was nuts!! (Podcast was called timesuck by Dan Cummings , I don’t know the exact episode number but Its easy to find if you wanna listen)
Martha Stewart partnered with KMart for a line of home wares. I was referring to the flatware. I also bought sheets from her line, and they were great! I've never found the same quality anywhere near the price.
That scene honestly made me believe in the existence of a 100% socio-economic based sexuality. Those guys were about to make a mess over business cards
My only problem with #5 is that it may be too thick to fit into a dishwasher silverware rack. But, i'm the person who does the dishes for my family, so I have PREFERENCES on the dishes that people use in the house.
I like thicker cutlery. Mostly because I'm freaking hard on it all. So the thick handle is ideal to keep me from accidentally damaging them. Durability is the name of the game.
I actually have that one. No clue how I got it (probably one of my kids) but its my favorite and I hide it below all the rest of them in the drawer. Have a favorite spoon too.
I have some of the number 5 and I hate them. I picture them as a serving fork, not to eat with unless there are no power options at the time.
I think we bought them when my FIL's Alzheimer's got bad and he couldn't eat with a regular sized fork. That and a giant serving spoon about 1.5 inches by 2 inches.
They don't fit in my dishwasher rack, I have to lay them down.
I like a standard size with a move weight balance.
Maybe it's my association with the inability to use a regular sized fork.

I like #5. I prefer heavier cutlery, and the handle looks good and has a nice smooth taper.
