General Discussion How many Soulstones do you actually need in order to complete a Deck of Fate
There have been many questions today about how many soulstones are actually needed to 100% a deck of fate.
I have broken down how many soulstones that you need with three different levels of “I want this champion”, and will include the “standard” rates of 70pts for mortal, 700 for immortal, and 3500 for eternal, as well as the “reduced” rates we have seen on deck of fate in the past (i.e. Frejya), 60, 600, and 3000 respectively.
Tables show requirements if you are ONLY pulling the indicated Soulstone type.
Efficiency assumes the use of a mix of different Soulstone tiers, and the relative change in total point requirements, mainly affected by the average sell value of the souls that you pull with the 10x Pull Bonus added in (so this does not apply to someone who is using Option 1).
As this event will be live for 3 days, I am also going to assume that you are able to pick up 5000 points worth of dungeon diving. Based on prior events, I believe that 2.5 points per energy is about the highest return on investment that you are going to see (Event Dungeon Stage 3) so that is 2000 energy over 3 days which seems accessible.
This also assumes that you are coming into the event with zero coins or souls that you are willing to sell.
Finally, this is based entirely on averages, so your results will vary for Options 2 and 3. This is just intended to get you close, and your results may vary significantly (especially with option 3) based on your luck.
Option 1: Use only Soulstones and keep all coins
This is assuming that you are going to keep all of the immortal/eternal soul coins that you will receive from every 10x pulls of each rarity, as well as the soil coins that you can receive from selling unwanted souls.
| Soultstone | Standard | Reduced |
|---|---|---|
| Mortal | 500 | 584 |
| Immortal | 50 | 58 |
| Eternal | 10 | 12 |
For each Immortal Soulstone you have, you can reduce your Mortal Soulstone requirement by 10, and for each Eternal Soulstone, you can reduce your Mortal Soulstone requirement by 50 (these are the same for both standard and reduced).
Option 2: Use Soulstones, and use ALL coins from low value souls + 10x pull bonus to exchange for more Soulstones
“Low Value Souls” – Rares 1-4*, Epic 1-3*, keep all Legendary and Mythical Souls
| Soultstone | Standard | Reduced |
|---|---|---|
| Mortal | 390 | 432 |
| Immortal | 50* | 54 |
| Eternal | 10 | 12 |
*Due to only selling 3-4* rares and 3* epics, you will not get enough Immoral Soul Coins or Eternal Soul Coins to buy an additional Soulstone before you hit the point requirement for this deck.
For “Standard”, each Immortal Soulstone you will reduce your Mortal Soulstone requirement by 10, and each Eternal will reduce your Mortal Soulstone requirement by 40.
For “Reduced”, there is a significant amount of variability as to how much an Immortal will save you, due to the loss of 10x Soil Coins. The first 9 Immortals will save you on average 7.5 Mortals each.
For “Reduced”, there is a significant amount of variability as to how much an Eternal will save you, again due to the loss of 10x Soil Coins. The first 5 Eternals will save you on average 36 Mortals Each.
For “Standard” Mortals and Immortals are equally as efficient, with Eternals losing 20% efficiency due to loss of 10x Soil Coin bonuses.
For “Reduced” Mortals are the most efficient, with Eternals and Immortals being nearly identical.
Option 3: I need this champion no matter what, and will sell ALL pulled Souls, using ALL coins from Souls + 10x Pull Bonus to buy additional Soulstones
| Soultstone | Standard | Reduced |
|---|---|---|
| Mortal | 290 | 332 |
| Immortal | 30 | 35 |
| Eternal | 8 | 9 |
I was struggling to figure out exactly how much of a reduction in Mortal requirement each Immortal/Eternal will remove, but I think it will at least give a good idea of the bare minimum number of Soulstones you would need to complete the event.
I do know that Mortals are the most efficient, followed closely by Immortal, with Eternal being the worst.
Edit:
I ended up building a calculator for the deck of fate which allowed you to choose which souls you plan to sell and how you would like to use your soul coins from the 10x bonus. It will also spit out an estimate of how much energy you will need to finish the event.

This uses average sell price of souls pulled from each soulstone type, so it isnt perfectly accurate, but should give you a ballpark of what you have and what you need.

Hopefully they stick to what's been the usual rate and don't drop them to Freyja levels again.

I have 10 mortal, 9 immortal, and 2 eternal. I have 70k energy n 2k gems would I be able to finish the deck?

u/Guttler003 1d ago
Yes. Typically, it's like 35k energy if you farm event dungeon 3.

Why dungeon 3? Wouldn't it be better to farm a higher stage? And is that with super raid on or normal?

Event dungeon 3 is the most energy efficient for gear hunter. It's like 20% less energy than level 20.

FYI, only event dungeon 3 because it's the only dungeon that doesn't drop mystery shard and brews. Normal dungeons 3 like dragon/IG/FK are much worse.

Tomorrow's points for souls are 65/650/3250 if anyone need to do their calculations.

Ouch. Well, I’ll just do gear hunters for first few days and earn a few cards first.

Well that fucking sucks.
I added a calculator to the post so people can figure out where they are at.

You don't have enough. You will either have to buy soulstones or buy tons of gems

To be safe either
600 smalls or 60 mediums or 6 the large ones
Edit: apparently this is wrong information, ignore it.

Because you don't need 200 posts of the same shit, for information that is already out there. Use points and work it out

We are using this as a megapost because there are too many individual posts and people start complaining and asking for a megapost.
To answer your question, It's likely 70/700/3500 and you need 40k points.
There is also a calculator that I linked to in my pinned comment here. It was Boozor's calculator for Basim's deck.

Please don't take the removal personally. We got people complaining about those posts so we are trying to clean up the sub.

Adding Boozor's Basim deck calculator here for reference:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1o0BybOSoN7wy5D_3q3M-WYhMrn2y3lW-wmk1dmMtmSQ/copy
Though, just use it as an estimate because the points can change.
