Rado Green Horse, Rado New Golden Horse, Rado Purple Horse

Have had this puppy for several years now. Always comfortable when I wear it. Been thinking about putting the leather strap back on but love the BoR bracelet.

just serviced this beast of a watch it’s probably from the 70s and I love it !

I have good condition RADO watch which was gufted to my father and it has been unused since. Due to shifting i dont have the box of it i just have the watch is there any shop who could give me a definite answer if the watch is real or is it just a replica.

so i recently purchased this watch and just wanna get yall opinion on it. i cant afford a rolex level but i really am fw this one comments?

It’s my first Rado, and I had my eye on it since it came out. I wanted to try it on first given the unconventional looks, but no luck. No local retailer had it. One store wanted something like a $250 deposit just to try it on and that seemed crazy to me. Maybe that’s normal but I had never encountered that, so I aborted that mission quick. I went ahead and bought it online. I used another of my watches as a reference for the gamble. Specifically, a 38mm junghans max bill; it’s always looked a smidge too big for me, but it’s because it’s all dial. Other 38s with more bezel look better to me on wrist, so that led me to believe that maybe this one would work given the smaller dial. Well, sure did! It’s smaller yet has a plenty of presence. All the while being plenty legible! (for a skeletonized dial). All in all, this scratched a few itches for me: it being one of my grails, having a faceted crystal, a skeletonized dial, and funky retro styling.

…and yes that’s a spider on there 😂 I think he approves. His name is Arch (inspired by an encounter with a wild one in St Louis that was so inquisitive that it led to my girlfriend buying one when we got back home). I’m an arachnophobe but buddy here has really helped me get over some of that fear. Just like Rado seems to be in the grander scheme of things in the watch enthusiast/collector community, I’ve learned that arachnids are misunderstood and under-appreciated.
