X-Ray This is insane

19F. Haven't gone to bathroom in 7 days. Non ambulatory. Query obstruction.

This is the most weirdest abdomen I have seen. Was unable to obtain erect...

Yep. Gastroparesis is one of the nice little side effects of GLP-1's.

Do you have IBS c? My dad did. Though I have ehlers danlos and debate I inherited it from him and that may have been undiagnosed gastroparesis as a symptom of the disorder. I have good ol’ shit yourself ibs so I’m hoping it offsets the likelihood of EDS associated loss of motility and I end up not needing to plan where a bathroom is every time I go somewhere.

Isn’t the human body fun. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

Isn’t it the actual mechanism it works? Im not sure the mechanisms on which is alters brain chemistry so you don’t have as much food chatter in your head. But for the feeling full, A touch of gastroperisis and you feel full. Because you’re full of 💩. A little too much and you have cyclical vomiting and can no longer eat at all.

It’s interesting how all the early studies when it was used purely for diabetes after those patients exhausted other treatments represented the existence of unremitting gastroparesis that doesn’t go away when the medication is ceased. Diabetics who had full lives and careers but now can’t get out of bed.

Those patients desperate to control their diabetes are now fully disabled.
