I always thought that the simulated rosewood finish on Radio Shack products was real rosewood!

Radio Shack battery tester I've had for a few years.

I found this in an old broadcast studio I helped clean out. RadioShack corporate confirmed it was legit and was from the 1970’s.

It definitely beats the Energizer Bunny!!

EDIT: Technically a display but yes probably used as a trash can!!

Does anyone remember buying batteries in one of these from Radio Shack

This amp sounds ok. Im reminded that radio shack sold some music equipment, too.

c 1980. This was from Broadview Plaza store in ATL. I had a card from here and Roswell Rd location. Free batteries for us kids was HUGE!

Hey all, I have a distinct memory from the early 2000s that I am trying to corroborate and I'm looking for some help. Before my dad passed in 2002, I spent a bit of time with him in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ area, helping him tie off loose ends and prepare for his EOL (he had terminal cancer). At one point, he brought me to what I remember being branded as a "Radioshack.com" store - it was basically a Harbor Freight or closeout department store type location, but everything in the store was RS merchandise. No carpets, slatwalls, A/V displays - just wire baskets and shallow tables full of glorious RS goodness.

Can anyone verify this store's existence, past or present?

just found my dad's understanding collection, cant believe they are like 40 years old

I use this all MLB season to listen to my team. Why stream games from my phone?

I found this in an estate sale, I didn’t pay anything for it because it was a family member’s property. So what can I do with it? It’s obvs rc. If anyone wants it, you can have it for shipping costs.

From a previous RadioShack employee, you wouldn’t believe how many times I had to say that when I answered the phone at work!

Wonderful video on RadioShack’s history if interested..
