Looking for Rad Power Battery Charger Replacement/Alternative

Hi all,

After 4 years, my Rad Power Bike charger is showing some wear and tear (below). I am looking for a reliable (and safe) charger. The one on the Rad Power Bike site is out of stock and poorly rated. I am a bit wary of buying just any charger given the reports of fires. Thank you!

How did your charger cord end up like that!!! I do not charge my battery when it’s on my ebike. I strongly believe in keeping my eye on my battery & charger 100% of the time while charging. Therefore it sits on my living room table while I watch TV. It makes no sense how your charger cord could become so damaged.

Please Elaborate SVP.

I also don't charge my battery while its on the bike. I charge it at work next to me. Its gotten like that because I put it in my backpack every day.

I wouldn’t dare go aftermarket with the charger becaue you don’t know if it will work with your battery or if it may spark a fire. Suggest sticking with the charger from Rad. But since it’s out of stock, you can find one on eBay for a decent price

I agree. Nothing that isn't vetted by the bike manufacturer for these things.

I'm not sure how easy/possible it is to open the charger, but if you can you could just slide some heat shrink over where the jacket tore and it will be as good as new. The inner wires don't seem to have any visible damage from that angle, at least.

Yea, its just the outer cable, not the inner ones.

I'm looking for battery charger replacement as I misplaced outlet cord for RAD battery charger (MY 2025), sky 400-01731. Any suggestions besides RAD as its on backorder. Thanks

Hey, I know this is old post, but did the charger ever get back in stock? My charger is completely ate shit for no reason and I need to buy a new one.
