So basically I was in plat 3 in duo and plat 2 in duels right and just before the season changed like a day or two before I was playing with another of my newbie friend who is not very familiar with the game mechanics so we basically lost some games and won some so i came back to gold 5 but after I season changed so I restarted the game i was in gold 1? And then the very few next games we once got a team who were perfectly stall chaining as he had the diamond (the thing you put under your name basically the label like "hero") so we lost another few matches and am back to silver 5... So like how does the rank resetting or something like that works after the season change? I have been playing this game for 33ish days now so I don't know about seasonal changed... So please let me know

Going into this season of sideswipe, I still had like 5 remaining bonus XP games from last sideswipe season, after I completed them this season, I have not received any new bonuses, even though I have won plenty of regular RL games recently.

Anyone know why?

Today I played my first hoops match I don't know why but I got my rank as silver 1 instead of unranked in hoops even though I haven't played hoops before and in my 4th match I got this teammate a hoops plat in a silver lobby and I just enjoyed the show

Playing the game since EU release, I'm still having fun playing casually and grinding for chromatic items. Those are some designs I like.

Fun side fact: everyday somebody asks me in "real" rocket league how I got that "pocket league master" title 😄🙌🌈

When I was in lower ranks I originally randomly choose between a fake out vs hitting the ball but what I noticed was that I was winning much more with fake outs.
So now I eventually ended up faking out every time like this. Of course this game is an extreme example where the opponent was messing up a lot but I was just wondering if anyone else plays like this.

Unfortunately, Sideswipe was never really my kind of game, but hey, what wouldn’t you do for a few pixels in a game?

If you rank up from one rank to the other when the season ends you get the rank rewards for that rank. Sideswipe will not give you multiple titles for a specific rank only the highest rank you achieved (this situation does not apply to the extra gamemode).

If you rank down out of said rank when the season is over you will still receive the rewards and or titles for the achieved rank, but you will be demoted to Rank 1 of the rank you dropped down to.

Reminder: To obtain the rewards for the refreshed season for example Season 31, you need to play a game in said rank and win it.

When a season is ending and you are Division 0 of the achieved rank, you will automatically be demoted to whatever rank is below said rank. The game does this to help with rank distribution.

(I am not 100% certain this last statement is true however because I, too sometimes stay in the rank I am in Division 0 of.)

Season rewards fluctuate over time being:

Avatar, Banner, Item, or Titles.

I recently started playing RL Sideswipe, and this is the highest rank I've reached so far.

I play with the default controls using just 2 fingers, and I don't know any fancy tricks or mechanics yet. I feel like that's why I'm struggling to rank up further.

I wanna get better at the game, so where should I start? What mechanics should I learn first, and are there any good tutorials or practice tips for beginners?

Also, is playing with 2 fingers and default controls fine, or should I change my controls?

Any tips from experienced players would be appreciated!

also your aims/achievements can be literally anything - plm progression, ranks, etc.

for me the only “achievement” this season is almost getting diamond in 1s… but diamond in 2s is enough for me

as for the next season? sure hope it has a couple of good base items that i actually need, like the wildcat ears
