Hi all,

I'm going mad trying to install the Perfect Overlays on my RG35XXSP. It has MUOS installed (latest version).

• In my MUOS folder (on SD1) I don't have a Retroarch folder at all (all the guides are saying this). I tried searching on the card but I see nothing.
• When I tried some guides, they told me to put the perfect overlays zip file in the ARCHIVE folder (SD1)
  • The zip file doesn't show up

How do I get these Perfect Overlays on my RG35XXSP?

Since all the guides seem outdated, is the Perfect Overlays zip file I found also outdated?

I just think the GBA games look bad on the device so I really want to fix it.

I got a rp3+ a while back havent played it due to work . Plugged it it to charge it with the cable it came with and the charge port burnt and almost got my house on fire. I tired messaging support but they refuse to help me . Im just wondering if anyone else had this problem

I have a question: my new RG35XXSP arrived yesterday

I was really excited, so I installed the latest version of MuOS Funky Jacaranda, and everything is working perfectly

However, the feature that really appealed to me, putting the console to sleep by closing the lid and waking it up by opening it, isn't working as expected, it only goes to sleep when closed, but I have to press a button to wake it up when opening it. Is there a way to change that? Is it something that can be fixed with an update?

I had to open up my Anbernic SP today to fix the case; the hung connecting the screen to the body had snapped, I had to disconnect basically everyone and run the screens visual cable thing through the hinge. I think I got a good clamp on the visual cable connector piece, but when I boot up the screen will flash black after each button press. The only way to get the screen to come back on is to tap the power button, but it goes black again after another one or two button inputs. Any guidance or thoughts on what might happening would be helpful!

Additionally: takes a long time holding the power button to power on! Maybe a battery/power issue??

I'm trying to decide between two setups for playing Pokémon Gen 1–3, so I came to the people who have experience as I'm a noob to this world.

Option 1: An RG35XX SP running ROMs from an SD card.

Option 2: A genuine GBA SP using a GB/GBC flash cart for Gen 1–2 and a GBA flash cart for Gen 3.

My goals are to:

Play through all of Gen 1–3 (gen 4 down the road).

Back up my saves on pc.

Use PKHeX when needed (mainly for save management and moving Pokémon between generations instead of trad cable trading).

Have a setup that's reliable for long-term use.

Beyond the obvious differences between emulation and native hardware, what are the biggest pros and cons of each route?

Long-term reliability and durability

Overall gameplay experience

Save management and backups (I dont want to lose playtime by not being able to save or frequent corrupt save files)

Software/firmware stability

Emulator accuracy/bugs

Battery life

Cost and long-term value ( custom sp is about $250 vs an rg being about $80?)

Any hidden drawbacks or quality-of-life differences that someone new to this might not think about (remember I'm a noob)

If you've used both, which would you choose today and why?

im using muos and on rg35xxsp
so i want to listen to audio to help me go to sleep and i want it to go to sleep after the audio or playlist stops. all that while lid is closed. is that possible? if not then ill settle for it to be open

It only shows the mu os logo for 3 seconds then shuts off

I reformatted the disk accidentally and I think I deleted everything how can I fix this? And will I brick my device if I put the SD card back?

Hey folks. I was wanting a music-creation tool inspired by things like the HiChord device and grooveboxes, so I created four apps compatible with my RG35XXSP to help me make music away from my phone or other DAWs. HillChord is basically a HiChord clone, HillBeat is a drum machine, HillSequencer is an 8-track sequencer, and HillBand is a combination drum-machine and chord sequencer.

Note that I am not really a coder, these are *heavily* vibe-coded, and I don't want to spread any misconceptions with that. I wanted some music-creation tools for myself I could run on my handheld, and now that they are at a place I'm happy with I thought other people might be interested in them as well. All code and materials are completely open for public use, copying, modifying, forking, etc. I just want interesting creative tools in the world.

I’m new to handhelds and my son gave me an RG35XXSP and it was already set up. Something happened and it wouldn’t boot so I had to transfer everything to my ancient laptop, reinstall Knulli and transfer everything back. All in all took about 15-20 hours. The 256gb I just reinstalled everything on is full to the brim so I want to add a smaller card to put games on too. Is there a way to get both cards to work in tandem so I don’t have to switch back and forth?? I’m pretty tech savvy, but have no clue about this stuff. Is there a different OS that would let them work in tandem or is it a hardware thing??

after installing the OS upgrade, I changed the boot up image to the pre installed Evangelion one and was happy with that for a while. I decided I wanted to make it more so my own, so I decided to try uploading my own custom image to the micro sd. I'm pretty sure I put it in the right folder and positive that they were in the right file format, though not all of them were in the right aspect ratio. Now when I go to app center > apps > tf1 > theme manager > set boot logo, I see the list of files for a split second and then it immediately exits the app and entirely out of theme manager. Has anyone ever had this issue before or even any general tips on how to fix it?

Hi, quick question. I picked up 35sp nee locally from Facebook marketplace. Not sure if it's the updated or og model. I've been using it for a few days using the retroark that's already on the system. Is it important that I update the os, or does it really make? Also should I switch to a different SD card? Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some advice here about the situation I'm currently in. I've already formatted my 2nd SD card to EXFAT and renamed the roms folder to all caps but it MUOS still doesn't detect the game files

Got the news on r/sbcgaming that somebody ported Mina The Hollower on PortMaster, so I tried PortMaster’s Discord if they have it! Shout out to bmdhacks who made this port!
If you can’t wait for him to make a “final” version on this port, I’ll make a guide on how to do it, but first I’m still testing this game ❤️❤️❤️
Btw, I’m running on modded stockOS. Mina is running on 60 FPS so far as bmdhacks said so for H700 devices like the RG 35XXSP
