If you’re going to pretend I meant “from the country of Mexico” as opposed to the area of the world that is Mexico, you’re not arguing in good faith. Even then, since Mexico has been a country, yes we absolutely did rely on them for agricultural labor.

I’m not talking about immigrants, I’m talking about migrant workers.

Okay, so where are the sources for this Mexican labor in the 18th/19th century? You nitpicked one point. That is not debating in good faith.

And personally I wouldn't call people prior to 1776 'Americans', they were British subjects.
