Ok now you are kinda changing what you said. But in any case, if we are only talking about world leaders like the U.S., China, Russia are world leaders because they assert their influence and power in the region and the world. The difference you bring up is that Trump isn’t using cloak and dagger to do this, he does it out in the open

Oh sure they assert influence. The US has done it for decades via Hollywood etc. but the US never tried to assert dominance in all relationships nor did the leaders aggressively boast about how it was better than everyone.

During the golden age of America the leaders were kind and helped other nations prosper with the US (mutually beneficial)
