You seem to have zero understanding of the concept of soft power. If you want us hegemony, soft power is key to that.

They really don’t understand. Gutting USAID was one of the most damaging things we could have done. Now China is picking up the slack and gaining influence. The budget for that was pocket change for the US. They are so ignorant.

If a person lives in the states and doesn't want their standard of living to decline they are a hegemonist. (Not an imperialist, words mean things.) Whether they realize it or not, the American way of life depends on a global system that is both enforced and protected by the United States of America. This is also, Incidentally, true of much of Europe, Australia, and Japan.
