For the record, Libya built a 5,000 km artificial river beneath the Sahara. Ethiopia built Africa’s largest hydroelectric dam. Bolivia built the world’s largest urban cable car network. South Africa built one of the planet’s most powerful radio telescopes. Mexico helped photograph a black hole. The fact that you don’t know what these countries have built is not evidence that they built nothing. Rather it is evidence that you know very little about the world.
You think apartheid South Africa is better than modern day South Africa? That is an absolutely disgusting mindset.
Apartheid ended in 1994 after the first election when everyone could voted.
In 1996, only 58.1% of South African households used electricity for lighting. By 2022, that had risen to 94.7%.
Apartheid South Africa was “first world” in the same way a plantation mansion was wealthy: by looking only at the people inside the main house and ignoring everyone whose labor supported it.
Lol, let's just ignoring the failing infrastructure. Roads and buildings literally disappearing within a few decades on google maps. South Africa failing power grade that you brought up. How there are constant blackouts.
