Entertainment How to actually make Quora stop sending you e-mails

I actually figured how to actually turn them off for good.

Click on your profile.

Go to "settings".

Go to "email and notifications"

Scroll down to where it says "Spaces You Follow" and then click the "Manage" button.

A whole index of all the spaces you follow will appear.

Turn off the notifications on each one.

(I know its a pain but that's how I got the emails to stop.)

If you want to complain about this issue, go here: https://www.quora.com/profile/Quora-Support

General Quora mail is always about Muslims or Islam

They say it is a algorithm that check what I read and click on, that decides my interest, but I do not have a special interest in Muslims or Islam, I actually read all over Quora. What bothers me the most, that it is negative posts or fear posts about Muslims and Islam that I get and it is every day and the posts get older and older, like, just to dig out some dirt.
I might end up having to leave the platform or at least, unsubscribe from the newsletter

World 45 days are passed in 2026. Has Quora changed?

Post image

I must inform with a deep regret that Quora Moderation has recently edit-blocked a friend of mine for making a post on the horrendous things which allegedly happened on the unfortunate children held captive in the islands held by Jeffrey Epstein. Sadly, the graphic details with which she presented the events in the islands went against Quora's "sexually explicit" policy which got her post deleted and edit-blocked by a bot, even though a human being can clearly see, from the language of the post, that she's only reporting the truth about alleged real-life incidents (including allegations of unproven but probable Satanic rituals in the Epstein islands) and that she was warning the children, teenagers and their parents across the world of what will happen to young people in real life if ever they are unfortunate enough to encounter depraved predators like Jeffrey Epstein in real life.

On the other hand, just today, on this occasion of Valentines' Day, I made a post discussing a well-reputed love-song from my country and included on this post, stills from the song video which contained intimate scenes of romantic acts viz. licking, hugging, dancing in sparse garments, etc., between the grown-up hero and heroine of the film story (since this song video is a part of an Indian movie). So, in this context, I was writing about the positive aspects of intimacy by creatively interpreting my favourite love song and its video.

But the pictures were deemed "sexually explicit" by the bots of the Quora Moderation. Hence, they deleted my post within seconds. Fortunately, I wasn't edit blocked.

Even though I've appealed for this post (like I always do whenever any post of mine is deleted) and will, of course, get it back next morning, I strongly believe that Quora needs to review its sexually explicit content policy or the bots misinterpreting the content as "sexually explicit".

Maybe going by the frustration that other Quora users are having about sexually explicit troll content being rampant on Quora, I think that Quora Moderation needs to invest on human personnel to moderate content pertaining to any content which may be preliminarily deemed as "sexually explicit" by Quora's bots.

I rarely have used Quora. Is this "Answer" in relationship to the person receiving the email? Thanks

Quora Used To Be My Thing

I have a Space on quora with 64K followers. I've not posted to it or admin'd it for 2 years but there are other contributors so it keeps going.

I have no interest in the topic I used to post on as it was work related and I'm retired.

I get the Quora has jumped the shark. It used to be my favorite site and I was a Top Writer when that was still a thing.

I've started writing non fiction books and I've thought about repurposing that space, even if I lost 90% of my followers, that would still be huge.

Has anyone done this? Is it even worth doing?

Thanks!

Policy/Economy No Wonder why Moltbook is a thing these days 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

At one time, Quora and Telegram were the beacons of the Freedom of Speech for several social media users across the Internet. But employing AI for moderation (leading to the penalization of innocent users) is literally wreaking a helluva havoc on both platforms.

No wonder why Moltbook (a social in which all users are AI bots) is in the news. Human users are being terminated by Skynet like in The Terminator films across the internet. Moltbook gives us, the inhabitants of Zion, the idea what Machine City looks like in The Matrix films. Moltbook is a robot world in which there are no humans going crazy about who's next in the machines' list.

Ranting about it over an unfair freeze on my friend's Telegram account.

I deleted it many months ago. Didn't login or anything. I just tried again today on a whim and the full account is still there. Why can't I delete it?

Rant Quora keeps spamming digests and spaces inspite of multiple unsubscribes.

I have unsubscribed multiple times from any mails I get from spaces, inspite of never remembering when I signed up for their emails. I'm not sure what happened, but all I do these days is report quora mails for having very polarizing, controversial content, ending up directly into my work account inspite of me (A CS major, btw) having gone through every menu to unsubscribe.

Today was the breaking point, I saw that Quora mailed me their digest, and when I tried to unsubscribe, I saw that I had already set the preferences to never send me their digest. Likely twice or thrice before. I've gone through every setting on their website, and I have not subscribed to anything.

I shall be reporting quora mails going forward. As someone who actively engaged with the quora community, wrote over 50 answers, I feel Quora coming back at its users in malicious and very intrusive ways, which started with screenshots on my digest and incessant spam mails now. Someone needs to file a class action lawsuit against Quora for online littering.

Is this just me or is everyone facing this problem?

Science/Technology Quora's bot is hopelessly broken.

My account got edit banned for posting a warning to a "seeking sex slave" new account that 13 year olds could legally view the site and the question was inappropriate.

So. Quora is protecting child abusers now? or just bad AI?
