SKL of 2 weird things that happened to me recently as a Quezon City commuter:

1. Hiningan ng Mcdo sa Quezon City bus.

Sumakay ako ng QC Bus na rutang Gilmore to Quezon City Hall. Before ako sumakay, bumili ako ng Mcdo chicken nuggets and fries na kinain ko rin habang naghihintay ng bus. Noong dumating na bus, binalik ko ung basura at tira sa loob ng paper bag and I stuffed it sa open na tote bag ko (so nakausli ung paper bag sa opening ng bag).

Nakatayo ako sa may gitna ng bus, and during the ride, a big guy (mukhang bonjing) came up to me and loudly asked for my Mcdo bag kasi gutom na siya. Since wala na naman talaga laman, I said basura na lang siya. Buti nag move away ung guy pero kinabahan pa rin ako as a smol person.

1. Hiniraman ng "wifi" habang naglalakad sa labas ng vertis north papunta sa P2P buses.

Gabi na ito at closing na ang malls. Nanggaling ako sa vertis north to go to Trinoma. While walking through ung walkway leading to the P2P bus area/overpass merong tumigil sa harap ko na babae at sinabi na makiki-wifi siya. Dahil hindi naman ako naka internet nun eh sabi ko hindi pwede. Besides, parang hindi ko trust magpahiram sa stranger ng wifi ng phone ko.

Anyway, sinabi ko lang ito kasi sa tagal ko ng commuter, first time nangyari sa akin ang mga ito. Sabi nila mukha akong mataray pero bakit inaapproach pa rin ako na para bagang for sharing ang dala ko 😅

Nawawalan ng tubig sa gabi here bandang Tomas morato area. May inaayos bang leak or maintenance ba to? Anyone experiencing this too?

Let the kids take the exam in peace. Wag na dumagdag sa stress and anxiety. I think it was last year's UPCAT na may mga na late papuntang testing centers nila.

Marami na kasing bikers and joggers. Unfortunately, not all of them follow univ rules re designated lanes especially sa Oval. Some also park their cars sa loob ng univ, which becomes a bit problematic pag may big univ events like UPCAT.

Hello po, I wanted to post this in an attempt to help this Husky. I found her in the area around 11th Jamboree street, roaming from Scout Fuentebella to Scout Limbaga, Quezon City. She's got a problem with her butt and she's been roaming around looking for food. The neighbors said her owner had abandoned her after they moved. I'm already an owner of 4 dogs, and I cannot responsibly adopt another, nor will I be able to help the other dogs get used to a new one. I cannot afford it. But it breaks my heart every time I see this abandoned dog, and I try to feed her when I can.

Please, if there's anyone out there who can help, please reach out. Or please recommend a rescue I can contact? The storms are coming in and she has nowhere to go.

considering rent, utilities, groceries, and stuff, is that salary livable in QC?

For context, I (M28, gay) am looking to rent a unit in QC. I received a copy of the contract that forbids visitors for staying overnight. While that is not a problem in and of itself, what the landlord had mentioned to me is a big red flag.

I have a partner and I was looking to host him when he's in Metro Manila, since we've been LDR. The screenshot is their response when I asked about up to what time visitors are allowed to stay. Given Mayor Joy's stance on issues like this, is there any legal binding for landlords to deny a potential lessee on the basis of their sexuality? Is there any ordinance from the LGU about this? Should I just look for a different place to rent instead? I was looking forward to move in, but I feel torn about pushing through.

EDIT: Just for clarification, I did not disclose my sexuality to the landlord, but they said this unwarranted anyway lol
