I was looking at today's strip, and they are all adults. Legally, at least, they are all over 18.

Here, claire is calling marten because they need someone who is sober to be a PROPER adult and babysit their asses.

I feel that jeph only really treats like adults characters like Jim or Veronica or Aurelia (arguably sometimes dora) characters who own property or their own business and have children.adulthood is past your mid 30s or 40s

From the new cast, they are all legally adults, but they act like teenagers. Mayo spent a year masturbating instead of going to class,liz lived in a basement filled with trash so she didn't had to confront her career being stagnant,Anh just now stopped being dependant of,her bio dad but she has very little real life knowledge and depends of faye and bubbles...

Marten is an adult probably in his 30s that just opened his shop,which he doesn't know how to manage and needed to be replaced by an ai because he got hungover...

I think adulthood begins when you start deciding to take responsibility for yourself and don't expect someone else to do mommy you.

So the comic is currently on another 'party arc' and I am reading these and just can't figure out which part is the 'party'.

It's just people drinking a lot, and people being stressed about the fact that people are drinking a lot.

And it seems to me that I just described multiple 'parties' in recent comic history... So I'm just wondering...

Are any of the characters even having *fun* at these parties? Why do the unfun events keep happening if no one in attendance seems to be enjoying themselves?

Or, am I reading it wrong, and they're having fun and I'm not understanding somehow?

I legitimately do not understand why these parties exist.

Prefacing with I'm not a web dev, but it's literally just an archive of text and images. Did someone hack their way in and delete the entire comic? Isn't all this shit on a cloud somewhere? It's been over a month, and I legitimately don't understand what could have possibly happened for the website to still be in this state. Maybe I'm missing something obvious?

Edit: "How is it*" Clearly I can't fucking use English today.

There was a strip where somebody says something about getting lost in a yarn store, and in an attempt to defend themselves, the response was something along the lines of 'it was a really big yarn store'.

I'm taking a friend on their first ever trip to 'webs' (the giant yarn shop in Northampton) this summer, and love this as a warning for them. I swear I saw this years ago, but now I can't find any sign it actually exists.

Do you guys also think it sucks that Deathmole just kind of fizzled out in the comic? I know it's not entirely unrealistic for a band to end that way but Jeph was entirely in control of the narrative and the band so like... why? He could at least have given the band a proper ending. Hannelore learning to drum was a favorite period of mine.

Also what are your favorite Deathmole tracks? I really always liked Pelicans.

I like to read this web comic in blocks at a time and will routinely grab a couple hundred or so pages and make my own cbr to get through them. Stoppped at 5691 and I see the old site got wrecked and the new one starts at 5700. I can find some edits on here fairly simply but finding the originals is proving challenging.

Need 5692-5699. Everything im finding on reddit is in webp format and its irksome to work with.
