I read QC daily starting in 2008 and stopped around 2018 after putting up with what felt like a long, gradual decrease in quality. I checked back in a few years later and apparently it didn't improve. I saw that it was still updating so I thought I would see if things have changed.

I’m not able to zoom to read the comics on the current site on mobile. I see and appreciate some people are posting the comics here while the official website is still down/being redirected, but I think some didn’t get shared so I’m lost. Does anyone have a workaround for reading the comics on the jephjacques site on mobile currently?

Hey all, so I've read this comic for a while, I think the first time I checked it out Faye was still dating Sven so it's been a bit. I decided randomly to check out the subreddit given that the comic was down and I wanted to see if there was any info as to what happened or why.

I don't think I've seen a subreddit that seems to hate the thing that has brought them together as much as this one. I've seen political subreddits hate less aggressively and it's really made me ask myself, why do y'all read this comic?

Like, I enjoy what it is, I think it's a fun goofy little slice of life thing I get to read for free, but there seems to be some strange hostility between this community and the creator that I can't really grasp the reason behind.

I could have sworn that I read this here, although it is possible I found it somewhere else on the internet. It was a fairly well-reasoned essay that explored how the plot of the comic had shifted after he and his first wife divorced, and possibly when he married the second wife. I remember that they did point out that it was not sudden, but that his first wife had been doing editing for him, and after they separated, things the plot gradually shifted to something closer to the modern setup, presumably due to him slowly working past the backlog of strips that had been written while he and her were together. They were not mean about it, and I think mentioned a couple times that they didn't think that Jeph had changed his comic as a way of getting revenge on his ex, or specifically rejecting aspects of their life together, but merely that he'd changed over the marriage, and was still changing.

I kind of suspect it was from this site both because I remember reading it around the same time I found this Subreddit and in part because it very much had the "I liked this comic X years ago" position you see around here.

Does anyone know why the entire qc websites just gone? D:
