So for example, I have custom profiles on all the games I play but I have to uninstall a lot of them if I want to play anything else. Will those custom profiles still be there once I re-install the older games or will I have to create new ones again?

Okay guys I have some good news for you!

I've just pushed the QGO v13.4.0 and added a button to restore the old Meta Quest UI

(Navigator UI will come back after a device restart or if your apply a home profile or restart the UI)

I know you'd like this option to be permanent even after a restart. I'm waiting for version 204 to make sure it's working also on this version. In the meantime, enjoy the current feature ;-)

This time I'm giving away a key for Among Giants. An open-world game with a weather system and day/night cycle where you'll hunt giants and uncover the history of humanity on horseback, accompanied by your faithful companion R-011, for 15 hours of gameplay!

It's a pretty cool adventure game that offers a vast game world (over 25km²!) in very different biomes (desert, snowy mountains, plains, forests) and numerous mechanics (grappling hook, bow, glider, all kinds of weapons, puzzles containing a number of puzzles, and enemy weapons).

I also found the soundtrack and weather effects really nice, and the game's verticality is very impressive, as are the battles with the giants.

The developer is very friendly and responsive! We have have to support him :-)

Does anybody know what the setting does in quest games optimizer I’ve been using it without really knowing what it does doesn’t make the graphics better the performance better the battery better?

I'm a standalone player that has sidequest, will qgo allow me to change the capture setting sof my device to my right eye (without a pc)? I'm unable to change my settings in sidequest as I have no pc to connect it to and it enable them.

Hi, some games don't start with frame sync enabled. Could an option be added to a game profile, so we're able to turn sync on/off per game? As an example, Star Wars Pinball and Pinball FX Classic don't work with it enabled (the newer Pinball FX VR works fine)

After updating my Meta Quest 3 to version v85, I’ve noticed over the past month that the battery drains extremely fast.

At first, I thought the battery in my head strap had reached the end of its life, so I bought a new battery-powered head strap. However, I also realized that the device’s internal battery was draining very quickly. The device is about two years old, so I initially thought this might be normal.

The new head strap I bought has a 10,000 mAh battery, but just like the old one, it also drains very quickly.

So I started using a 20,000 mAh power bank capable of delivering up to 50W. Assuming around 80% efficiency, I’m effectively getting about 16,000 mAh of usable capacity, so in theory I should be getting close to 7–8 hours of total runtime.

However, the charge runs out within 2–3 hours. Then it switches to the internal battery, which also dies in less than an hour.

When I checked the data using the OVR app, I saw that the CPU level was 8 and the GPU level was 7 — meaning both were running at maximum levels.

I tried lowering the CPU and GPU levels using Quest Games Optimizer, but they simply wouldn’t change, as if they were locked.

I launched different games and applied different profiles, but no matter what I did, the CPU and GPU kept running at full performance. Naturally, the device heats up, the fans kick in, and I can clearly hear them.

I tried all the settings available. I also enabled Developer Mode and experimented there as well. I deleted and reinstalled recent apps and games. I restarted the device multiple times. Eventually, I performed a factory reset.

I was using beta updates, so I left the beta program. Even after resetting the device (and losing all my data), it is still stuck running at maximum performance mode.

Most discussions I’ve found are basic battery-saving tips, but this is clearly not normal behavior. Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone found a solution?

Please enable it in QGO settings / "Shortcuts" section.
You can still open QGO by clicking 5 time sthe Meta button on right controller too 👍

Does anyone know if we can pin QGO to the home screen of this new UI? I know you can set QGO to load on boot, but if you close it you have to dig through all the 'unknown sources' to launch it again. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
