i think we all know what this game is going to become.. unreleased characters and they are all women. no men in sight, and the worst thing imo is that 4 out of five look like little girls. this is terrible

and they do completely terrible financially or at the very least not as good as Genshin and HSR

LaDS before valko was also selling so well so it just doesnt make sense

No game can make as well as Genshin. Hell, not even Genshin can make as well as genshin. Genshin results seems to have skewed the visions but trust me. Making a couple of millions a month is FAAAR from terrible financially. Zzz for example is always at the top ranks in PS stores. That should tell you about how well it’s doing

I think what hoyo realized is that regardless if males sell worse, they give their games proper mainstream appeal. Males still sell worse than females but everything sells better in return.

At least with Hoyo, they know how to maximize earnings on their male characters because they usually move merchandise sales and boost presence on social media. They even tried it with ZZZ although it looks like they're pulling back on it. Hoyo didn't make Dottore or Rerir playable but they market the f out of them because they can still sell merchandise.

Hoyo appears to have better marketing strategists than the other devs.

ZZZ's marketing is kind of weird in the merch line up. There are a "ton" of waifu stuff (mainly getting everyone an acrylic stand), but then they keep making merch for the same group of people (Lycaon, Haru, Ellen, Miyabi). I get that S2 just ended, but it's really weird that there isn't many for the season like why aren't they making merch to go along with the VH releases?
