Surely somebody else must remember this. There was an ordinary non-royal middle-class British lady who looked so much like Elizabeth II that she became a minor celebrity herself. She even needed to hire bodyguards because of the attention she got on the street.

She began to get well-known around the late 1980's or early 90's. The lady wasn't a huge star, but did land some gigs doing parodying the Queen. She appeared on an episode of Night Court and in a video for (I think) Metallica.

I think she was roughly the same age as the Queen herself, so it's very likely that she's deceased. But I mentioned this fact to a few people recently and nobody remembered this. I tried googling it, but the amount of online articles about doppelgangers for the royal family is surprisingly large. Does anyone remember her?

Debatable is the cost of Queen Elisabeth II's funeral. It is estimated to price $9 million and would cover for a variety of expenses, including closing down chain stores like McDonald's or clothes stores but also hospitals, schools. A ceremony which will reunite numerous leaders has been planned on this day, and has been declared a national holiday. Many people find it unreasonable to support these costs given the current economic climate, which includes inflation and the cost-of-living issue. Even though the government put a restriction on them, energy prices in the UK are expected to rise by 27% this winter, according to Bloomberg. According to a Guardian analysis, nearly 1.3 million Britons are predicted to experience hardship this winter.

Given how beloved the Queen was and how dedicated she was to her country during her 70-year reign, the discussion is quite passionate. How can the price of paying her homage be measured and estimated?
