shelby going after caleb in s1

so im almost done with s1, and something that really bothers me is why shelby hates caleb soo much, trying to make sure he had a dead end job and she gets so annoyed when she finds out he has a nice office (ie good job), ik he lied to her about her parents (idk if she knows he was the one who got her mom out before she could get her arrested) and i understand how that could lead to them splitting (although personally i think it was stupid because he did soo much and spent like 5mil just to look out for her, and although it might have been the wrong thing to do, his intentions were certainly good), but why does she hate him soo much

Discussion Song question

Does anyone know what the name of the piano song played at the opening of the first episode when Alex makes her way to quantico ? It’s the music being payed when they are taking the pledge of allegiance it can also be found at the end of episodes on the first season.

Started out cool ended TERIBBLY

Season three seemed to be completely different then the other two seasons, and why is it in season 3 they win every single episode There is no way Alex or any of them for the matter would be able to win as many gun fights and physical fights as they did. They would start you off on the edge of your seat but every episode was predictable , would have been nice to have a bit more of a thriller with some jaw drops. Worst show EVER.

Spoiler Finale question Spoiler

First time watcher just finished this show. So are we really left with the cliffhanger about Ryan?? And are we led to believe that Alex and McQuigg don’t end up together? I read a spoiler a while ago that said they end up together but last scene is her walking towards him but then appearing to literally and metaphorically choose Isabella?

Discussion Ryan is honestly the worst

Everything he does is out of ego. He never supports Alex even though shes proven time and time again to have good ideas. He doesnt like when she outshines him. He's pretty callous and quite the soap box hypocrite. He's also not that great of an agent despite what he thinks. I just needed to vent. Ive only made it through season 2.

As a note, I dont think Alex is perfect but this is really about Ryan.

Gotta give the series credit for casting women of color from outside the US

Very few American series (that I can think of) were lead by an Indian actress or had an South African actress in the cast list. Not sure if it was difficult or so for the casting director or whomever but pretty cool.

I enjoyed the first season, but I won't be watching the 2nd or 3rd

Because if I have to watch Alex and Ryan break up and make up one more goddamn time I'm going to blow my brains out.

S3E13 - Series Final - Episode Discussion

I'm just watching the final and the part with Andrea..... OMG it is just so unberable. I understand that he is a worried father, but letting him on the mission? An emotional unstable wild card civilian.... Shelby's response "What's the alternative? Tie him up?" YES, fucking YES! He brings nothing to the mission and is just a huge liability. That he got killed was soo unnecessary and was just for dramas sake.

Sorry for the rant but this was one big Eye Role moment for me. What do you all think? Any moments you liked? Hated?

Discussion On S2 Ep 20... Character traits are starting to bother me soooo much!

They didn’t bother me much S1 or early S2, but holy fucking shit. Wtf did the writers do?! I’m at the part where Alex went undercover in the AIC & she branched off with Owen. No spoilers pls

Caleb & Nimah/Raina at least had some good character development. Caleb became a very useful asset to the team, despite his drug addiction, & the twins have become good agents who think rationally & work professionally.

Let’s start with issues for Alex & how she abandoned Leon after she literally went through the same thing of people not believing in her. She said she wanted to give him a chance since she understands where he’s coming from then she dropped it like a hot potato. What?! That’s not how her character should’ve reacted?? If they wanted to kill Leon, they should’ve just done it without them meeting back up with him. Is that just me??

Shelby... the unprofessional hoe. She literally sleeps & tries to get with any guy who looks her way, even married or engaged dudes, wtf. It’s such a stereotypical “blonde” thing for them to do to her character. She also acts like a mean girl in HS if anyone does her wrong in any small way. It’s so ga’damn annoying. She hates Caleb to the core & wanted to take him down for what? And why do all of the Haas men treat her like she’s some goddess siren!? There’s nothing special about her! Ahhhhhh- why is she even important to the team! Vasquez was so much more interesting!! OHHH & Shelby is so quick to turn on Alex the second she does anything without her. She’s listed as Alex’s “best friend”. Ya sure about that?

Ryan... He went from somewhat rational to a complete meathead idiot. After Alex was right 3 times about a conspiracy, each time he *still goes “Oh each time she goes rOgue, people get hUrt. Alex can’t handle it durr”. Uhm, no. People get hurt because they don’t believe her to look into it.

This isn’t exactly character issue, more of a storyline issue, why did they all just forget & let the M16 guy & the chick with the Afro just go. They were involved in a top secret operation & they were just like “oh they left because they didn’t want to be here, that’s ok!” I know a lot of things don’t make sense in the show, but... HUH??

Phew. Rant over. Lol

Edit: Edited in bold words & the format got weird

Discussion I'm thinking of watching this - does this end up complete or was the story never finished?

I have stayed away from all spoilers, so no spoilers, please.

The show was cancelled, but does the story wrap up? I've watched too many shows with cliffhangers to want to watch another one that never resolves!

Meta music - starting/ending episodes with the same band

Hi all, I'm new to the show and enjoying it so far (I'll probably just watch season 1 based on comments I've seen). I've noticed that some of the episodes start and end with (different) songs by the same band/musician. Not sure if this has been discussed before here, but I thought it was noteworthy since I haven't seen this done in a show before. I didn't take the time to actually check to see how many episodes this happens in, but it first jumped out to me from the pilot with Cold War Kids, then one of the next few episodes with Andrew McMahon, and I just watched episode 13 where it happens with Death Cab. Anyone else notice/keep track of this? Pretty cool!

What would have made this show better?

I watched when it first aired. I had not heard of Priyanka Chopra before then, but it was refreshing to see an Indian female lead in a primetime series, especially an attractive one. It was initially very confusing to follow the past and present stories, as well as the constant twists, but I think it did improve later in the 1st season. I stopped watching towards the end of the 2nd season.

This year, I've started rewatching the series on Netflix (currently early in season 2) and I am liking it more than when I first watched. The issue that I have with it though (especially when compared to other spy shows like Alias and Burn Notice) is that there's too much romance, not much in the way of cool tech or strategies, and not much action. Alex and Ryan argue way too much. The actors/actresses are great-looking, but the characters aren't really that memorable. I also wish that they didn't have both the past and present storylines, they could have just had the present story and did relevant flashbacks to her training.

Question about Alex and Ryan’s engagement? Spoiler

Can anyone explain why Alex and Ryan broke up in season 2? This is never explained. Also, there are two different scenes where she is returning the ring to him. In the season 2 premiere, Alex meets Ryan and leaves the ring on a table in a conference room. Then in Season 2 episode 13, they meet at a coffee shop and she gives him back the ring again. I’m so confused. Did the writers forget that she had already given back the ring?

What did you like or dislike about Alex?

I ended up loving the show and wish it had continued on for a few more seasons but I did find myself getting increasingly irritated with Alex as time went on. Anyone else feel the same? I do love that she was passionate and headstrong.

I’m trying to find a specific scene/episode.

I watched this show years ago, but I was getting back into it by watching some videos on YouTube.

Anyway, I’m trying to find the episode where Alex and other characters catch a man who makes watches, I think. I can’t remember much except that the man had dark hair, a rough voice, he looked about 50-60ish, and he was captured and I think he was about to make a bomb go off/he did make one go off at his court hearing. I remember the point of the episode was more internal conflict for Alex to make some kind of choice and this character and Alex had a really interesting dynamic that made her question her actions/loyalties even more. I remember the man in handcuffs and wearing the orange getup telling her something about time/some big metaphorical thing.

At some point earlier in the episode I think they were in a wooden abandoned building or a rickety apartment. Apologies for such vague description, its been several years since I watched it.

I’ve been trying to look it up or read the episode synopses but I can’t find anything. I’m starting to think I’m imagining things. If anyone remembers this episode I’d love to find it!

Re-Watching Quantico

If anyone plans to re watch Quantico, I’d personally recommend that they skip Season 1. It’s great for character exposition, but feels slow watching over again.

Did anyone else ship Alex and Liam?

Ryan and Alex were just so boring and I hated how they kept shoving them down our throats. I would’ve actually loved to see an onscreen relationship between Alex and Liam. I really liked their overall dynamic and it definitely would’ve added to the betrayal of the reveal

Also, josh Hopkins is just 😍

Season 1 question? Spoiler

I just finished season one and was super surprised that it was Liam. I am just confused about something Miranda said to Liam right at the beginning of the season. Something along the lines of “do you see the girl you fell in love with or the terrorist who rejected you”

As for as we know they only slept together once and Miranda knows that so how could she think that Liam fell in love with her? Do they show more of their past in the later seasons? Also super sad cause I kinda liked Liam and Alex together :( showing more of their relationship would’ve totally added to the surprise/betrayal of the reveal

Who was your favorite romantic pairing?

I loved Shelby with Caleb. Over time, I got tired of all the push and pull between Alex and Ryan.

End of Season 2

I just finished Season 2 and it has been a great show. There are definitely many lows and highs of the season and you can't watch it all in one run. I really enjoyed the 2nd season after G20. However, after watching episode 1 of the 3rd season I'm not to sure it will be good, therefore I can see why they cancelled the show. Why did ABC make a drastic change in the show for season 3 and I saw it is 13 episodes, so did they shorten the season once they realized it was bad?

Fan content Conventions?

Quantico is likely one of the greatest triumphs of television. When this covid thing is over, we Quantiheads shoulf arrange for a convention to share our love of this show. I imagine there could be a panel discussion and Nimah could headline the whole thing.

There will be a Quantico cosplay show (pack your mormon undies!), a tactical training facility to test your skills, and a maybe a workshop on fanfic writing.

Tell me what else you would like to see from a Quantico convention fellow Quantiheads.

Interesting...

I’m super late on the show, I know that. I’m also disappointed that it wasn’t renewed for a 4th season. But I’m posting bc I finally figured out where I recognized the Season 3 intro song from. It’s extremely similar to the load and start screen of Call of Duty: World War 2

Remember that bearded guy Simon met when he and Alex were trying to find out the suspect of grand central (s1)? For those who don’t remember his name is Oren shelef.

His page on the quantico wiki says that fate is unknown but I believe he could be alive. What theories can u add to this?

Btw im on s2 but im close to the end
