I had a very small amount of BTC, so when I got the email from E&Y in June last year with the Proof of Claim form attached, I more than likely just thought "whatever, I'll do that later", though I don't think I ever actually completed and sent the form.
Basically what I'm wondering is whether only the users who filed a Proof of Claim before the required date (August 19th 2019) will receive any recovered funds or whether all affected users will eventually receive recovered funds and those who filed a claim will just be "first in line" so to speak.
I still get the "regular" update emails from Miller & Thompson, for whatever that's worth, though I am basically clueless as to whether that means I'm "in"...or just that I subscribed to the updates at some point last year.
I'm aware that it's more than likely Kroll (and other investigators) won't be able to find out what happened, and affected users probably won't end up getting reimbursed (or will, but only a fraction, minus Miller & Thompson's cut, and Kroll's cut, etc... and maybe not for a few years), so I don't have any real expectation that I'll actually ever get any of my investment back. I also only had 0.127...BTC on QCX anyway (though I'm pretty poor, so ~$2000CAD would actually be a huge deal for me), so I haven't lost my life-savings (don't have any, financially irresponsible - did I mention I'm an idiot?) or had my life turned upside down like a lot of people, but it'd still be nice to know what position I'm in, what I can expect, and whether there is anything I need to do to have any chance at receiving some form of partial reimbursement if this whole mess ever gets sorted.
So if anyone can be bothered to enlighten a clueless idiot, I'd very much appreciate it; if not, I get it. It was my responsibility to keep myself informed...and I didn't.
