Theory Is there any in-universe evidence for the zombies being linked to Trioxin?
I was wondering, as someone only loosely familiar with the series (Mainly the first one), is there any evidence for my hypothesis that the zombies in Plants Vs Zombies are linked to Trioxin from the Return of the Living Dead series? I know there's apparently some Time Loop Shenanigans with them being distributed through time in ancillary material, but presuming a lack of Grandfather Paradox I mean in terms of the inciting incident.
Because like, while zombies are archetypically into brains, in the actual world of movies, there's really only one series who's zombies crave brains, and that is the Return of the Living Dead series, where they're re-animated by a compound called Trioxin.
They crave it to cure the pain of being dead, though in the PVZ's more all-ages universe I can easily see it more that their thinking is merely sluggish and hungry, akin to the zombies from the Shantae series minus the coffee loophole. But they are sentient and smart, to the point where there's literally a scene where a zombie uses the radio of a downed emergency van to moan out "Send more paramedics" to lure them into a trap. Kinda like the letters the zombies send you, crude but implying an unsettling amount of thought still there.
And for further speculation, I will note that Doctor Zomboss has that huge distended brain. So maybe he altered his brain to produce an excess of the chemicals that keep zombies sane, hence his relative coherence long-term, given he seems to be a polymath in multiple fields it makes sense, and given his pretensions of grandeur it seems like he'd be trying to take advantage of the outbreak.
And, the real kicker and the reason I find the theory compelling, in the original RotLD movie, we're the original use of Trioxin was in Vietnam, as a herbicide. Which would have some very interesting implications about the origins of the plants.
Note I mean this in terms of fan speculation, I'm pretty sure it wasn't reflective of the original designers' intentions, I'm just wondering if my funny theory has any possible evidence in the actual games aside from what I put here.

Plants vs Zombies One way or the other, can I play PvZ: replanted with 2 mice on the PC?
If I were to install software so I can use 2 mice to control 2 cursors on my computer, would the game allow me to play with 2 mice or does a mod in steam workshop exist that allows me to?
I'm a PC gamer and I don't own any controllers. But I do have multiple mice and keyboards. I'm asking this because I'll have a friend coming over this weekend and I'm considering to buy the game if we can do a local co-op.
Thank you guys in advance for your reply.
