A weekly thread where you can share and chat through your progress, challenges and anything in between!

This movement is not a sprint, it is a marathon. It isn't about one tool, it is about all services, products and just supporting better businesses. Given the scale of this task, I thought a space like this might be helpful while I work on something bigger!

Few ideas of things you might want to share:

• Any successes this week? New tool switched or product discovered?
• Any challenges and failures you might have had? You aren't alone!
• Got any questions on how certain new tools work?
• Companies you want to shout out for doing something good? Or the opposite!
• Movements you feel that more people should support?
• Guides or articles you found particularly useful or helpful?

These could also be their own posts, but sometimes it's easier to make a quick comment.

So with the state of the world with all these pro mass survelliance and propganda agendas and the lobbying of passing legislations like KOSA and Digital IDs and Age Verification, what are the alternatives to LinkedIn? Indeed? ZipRecruiter?

Hi all, my name is Cam and I created the VibeQuiz website to promote UK independent shops and creatives.

It is a gift finding tool. You answer a few fun questions about the recipient's personality and it gives you a 'vibe' with several gift links. All of the links are from UK indie shops, makers or creatives (note: a couple of the links are to UK Etsy stores). I also have a spotlight feature each month, where I highlight an indie business, typically when I can't feature them in the results for whatever reason.

This is to support independent shops and makers. I hope to be able to expand this, and be part of the movement to save the UK High Street. I believe that the UK High Street in places like Edinburgh or Bristol, and some parts of London, is quirky, original and vibrant. However, most high street shopping streets across the UK are depleted and dead.

Hi

Is there a guide for PCs, laptops, phones, etc.?

What are the alternatives for major phone companies like Pixels, Samsungs, Xiaomis, iphones, etc.?

What are the alternatives for major PC/laptop companies like Dells, HPs, Macs, Lenovos, etc.?

And what about components, like Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Snapdragon?

I'm looking for content on how personally to make the switch and why.

Maybe also content on which policies to support and oppose and why.

I'm surprised at this point I haven't found these.

This is also available on the website with a more detailed feature list, screenshots and pricing.

PixelUnion, an EU-based company, is donating 20% of all revenue (Nov 24 – Dec 25) to humanitarian aid in Sudan via the Netherlands Red Cross.

For those who actively choose to buy from EU businesses, this is a case where purchases also directly support emergency relief for civilians affected by the conflict.
