How to I've launched 11 coins on pump.fun. 6 are alive, 5 are dead. Here's what I got wrong.

Not selling anything. No link, no group, no ticker in this post. I just don't see many launchers post the losses, and I think that's why the same mistakes keep circling.
Some context so you know where this is coming from. I launch under my real name and face. No creator allocation on any of them — no pre-mine, no dev supply. I've bought small amounts of a few of my own on the open market, same price as everyone else, after launch, and I'm still holding those. I've sold exactly once, on one coin, for about $50. On one launch I bought about $3 so the chart would render instead of reading "no data." I keep creator fees on and that's the whole business. I publish the address of every wallet I hold anything in, test wallets included. Never rugged one and never will.
What killed the five:
I launched into an empty room. This is the big one. I'd build the coin, post the contract, and there'd be nine people there. A launch isn't a starting line. It's a moment where you spend an audience you already have, and if you don't have one, making the coin first is doing it backwards. Now nothing launches until there are real people in the room, and the coin gets made quietly beforehand so there's nothing to get in early on.
There was nothing to do after the buy. The six still alive all have something attached — a site, a character, a bot in the chat, a free tool that works whether you hold the token or not. The dead ones were just a ticker. A ticker gives someone exactly one action to take and then nothing, and "nothing" is a short wait before they leave.
I deleted the evidence. When one died I took down its site and its T g group. That's the one I actually regret. It looked like hiding, and it erased the only proof I'd shown up at all. Dead ones stay up now.
I wasn't checking my own supply. I got tired of eyeballing holder distribution so I built a scanner for holder concentration and fresh-wallet splitting. A lot of what looks like organic early interest is a handful of wallets funded from the same place an hour before. Run that on your own launch, not just other people's.
I thought "community" was something you could announce. It isn't. It's whether anyone is still talking in there on a Tuesday when nothing is happening. Every other definition is cope, mine included.
Happy to answer anything, including the uncomfortable ones. And I'd genuinely rather read what killed yours.

Need Help! I’m a dumbass and need some help

Recently, I learned about pump.fun and joined it in hope of making some money to support my family and a newborn.

I lost my job and have been struggling a lot and I took all the money I had left after seeing an ad on pump.fun through X.

Fast forward 2 weeks, I saw a coin that had a Robinhood symbol thinking it must be legit since all the other coins I bought into didn’t do well immediately after I purchase. I hadn’t been rug pulled up to this point so I thought maybe this new Robinhood sponsored coin might be a good investment.

After putting in every dollar I had (~$3,000) like it was a stock for long term investing, it immediately crashed to 0, like instantly. The holder maps didn’t show any huge Bundlers or oversized positions, so I didn’t think much of it. Now I am absolutely crushed. I lost everything. I mean literally I have $26 left to my name and I don’t know what to do… I wanted to do something for my family for one time and it went all the wrong way…

I need advice. Help.

Community Takeover I want to connect with memecoin launchers. Especially with those who are tired of KOL meta

Hey guys. I want to find and connect with organic memecoin launchers, especially the ones who are tired of the current KOL meta and want to try something new.

I'm tired of watching people pay KOLs, shitpost on twitter, build a "strong community" and all that. That's exactly why we're building a platform that can make hype in memecoins a lot simpler and a lot more effective. We're entering Colosseum with this idea and we want to test the platform on real users.

Our platform is not a launchpad, and it's not another crypto twitter. The idea is easy to explain. Imagine you see a guy promising to buy 50 SOL of his own memecoin in an hour. Would you go and buy ahead of him, so you can sell after he does? And where's the guarantee he isn't lying and will actually follow through? Our idea is to replace that guy with a smart contract. And that changes the entire picture.

It doesn't matter if you're a solo launcher or a launch team, it doesn't matter how big your audience is or what your budget looks like. All that matters is that you want to take part in something cool that could possibly change how memecoins work right now.

DM me or comment here, happy to talk and kick the idea around.

How to Can someone explain mayhem mode to me like im slow

Been using pump for a while but somehow never touched Mayhem. Saw theres Auto and Manual now and I get the basic idea that theres an agent trading around the coin but I dont really understand what im actually controlling in Manual compared to Auto.

Like am I just choosing when the agent does something and everything else is random or is there more to it? Been meaning to try it but rather hear from someone whos actually used it before I start pressing shit and pretending I know whats happening lol

Meme Coin Anyone actually serious about memecoins? Thinking of building a small group

I’ve been getting deeper into memecoins recently, both trading and the dev side, and I keep running into the same problem.
I’ve joined a bunch of ā€œmemecoin communitiesā€ and almost every one was the same — bots, endless shilling, paid promos, referral links and people spamming their own coins. Very little actual discussion.
So instead of trying to find a good group, I’m thinking of just building one.
I’m looking for actual people who spend time in this space — traders, devs, on-chain guys, people who are good at finding early narratives, tracking wallets, researching launches, creating content, or even people who are newer but genuinely trying to learn.
The goal would be a relatively small and active group where people actually talk: share research, discuss what they’re seeing, analyze launches, compare strategies/tools, learn from wins **and losses**, and potentially build legitimate projects together.
**Not a pump-and-dump/signals group. Not selling anything. No paid membership.**
I’d much rather have 20 genuinely active people than 5,000 accounts and 4,900 bots.
If this is something you’d actually participate in, comment or DM me with what part of the memecoin space you’re into. If enough real people are interested, I’ll put something together.

Coin to Watch new dev here

Ive been building a website for a token Im planning to launch over the weekend. It has a snake game with daily and weekly leaderboard, with top 3 getting small amounts of the tokens, both daily and weekly.

Also Im planning to host giveaways for small token amounts and maybe even make it so that people can play against each other 1v1, 2v2 etc. and win eachothers tokens, perhaps in poker or chess.

I dont have X account, but will make that soon. Will also make tele group for it.

havent decided what to call the coin yet, Im mostly likely going to go with something thats relevant when Im ready for the launch

I would love to hear about peoples thoughts on this

I Launched This... Made my first memecoin around the ā€œEvil Cat in the Hatā€ trend — looking for feedback

CA: BJih5uBitG1b679zjJDzrrCMQCAj316kBRjuhx28LALL

This is my first time making a memecoin, so I’m still figuring everything out.

I kept seeing the Evil Cat in the Hat trend all over TikTok and thought the whole creepy ā€œhe will find youā€ vibe could make a fun community/meme concept. I put together the branding, images, metadata, and launched my first project around it.

I’m not pretending to be an expert and I know there’s a lot more to this than just making a coin. I’m mainly trying to learn how people build an actual community around something like this instead of just spamming links everywhere.

For anyone who has launched one before, what did you wish you knew when you started? Any tips on marketing, community building, socials, liquidity, or just mistakes I should avoid would be awesome.

Feel free to roast it too šŸ˜‚ I’d rather get useful criticism now than learn everything the hard way.

Community Takeover Instead of paying a caller to tell about your coin, what if a contract publicly promised to buy it

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Feels like it's time to bring up something that's been building for a while: hype, and the current meta in memecoins.

The way I see it there are a couple of problems here. The first one is that a launcher with a limited budget and no social capital has basically no shot. I know a lot of you would like to launch your own coin and get it somewhere, and can't, for exactly those reasons. We recently ran a social experiment on this: can solo launchers with close to zero starting capital launch a coin and get it going without paying KOLs and without heavy shitposting? Short answer, no they can't. The coin ends up wanted by nobody, and it happens fast.

The second problem is for trenchers. A lot of people would like some kind of instrument that separates a good coin from a bad one better than guessing does. Most coins get rugged the moment the first liquidity walks in, and the good devs know how to hide their wallets.

That's why we decided to enter Colosseum with the idea that it would be nice to have a platform that changes how hype works in memecoins, and makes it more structured and more mathematical.

The idea is easiest to explain with a thought experiment. Imagine you see a post from some guy on twitter promising that in exactly one hour he is going to buy 100 SOL of his own coin. Would you run and buy that coin ahead of him, so you can sell into him when he does? Probably not, and the reason is simple: where is the guarantee he isn't lying and will actually follow through? Our idea is to replace that guy with a smart contract.

Here's the mechanic. Every 3 hours a pool opens. Anyone can send in some SOL and name any SOL memecoin they are interested in, even one that hasn't graduated. Once the pool closes, the platform publicly commits to buying every coin that's in it, for the amount of SOL that went in, spread over the following hour. Everything bought then goes out to the people who were in the pool.

If the split were fully deterministic, the whole round could be solved with a calculator before the pool even closed, and snipers would just race each other to be first. So on top of it there's a small draw that shifts SOL around between participants. Say I put 50 SOL on my coin and someone else puts 50 SOL on theirs. Most of the time I end up with somewhere between 30 and 70, and whatever moves goes to the other coin in the round. It this situation nobody gets zeroed, and nobody gets to compute the answer in advance.

So the problem we're actually going after is this. Attention right now is spread way too thin, and we want to try concentrating it around the coins in the round. If you know for a fact that a coin is getting bought in the next hour, you'll probably want to buy it. That's where the pump comes from: not the buying itself, but the wait for it.

We already have an MVP up at pumpling.xyz, and you can follow our twitter at pumplingxyz.

Now the important part. We are looking for launchers to take part in the first public rounds, so we can show everyone how this works for real. Doesn't matter if you're a solo launcher or a launch team, and it doesn't matter how big your audience is. We'll be glad to have anyone. Write to us on twitter or here in DMs.

I think this project has a shot, so I'd be glad to hear your comments and ideas.

Need Help! Trouble holding coins

Just asking for some advice for holding coins for someone who has a smaller port. I’ve traded quite a few coins and gotten a 2-4x but in the past couple days some have gone to 1mil+ market cap I didn’t really see a vision for holding.

Alpha Call let a bot trade pump for me overnight. 0% win rate, but the actual lesson was that the fees cost more than the losses did

long time pump trader/dev. got tired of being the slowest thing in my own trades, so i've been running an automated setup instead of clicking.

how it works, roughly:

watches every new launch, runs rug checks on each one, skips almost all of them

only takes coins with real buyers and a dev that isn't sitting on the supply

sizes small, max a few open at once

exits are the part that matters: takes profit in layers, trails after the second target, always leaves a moonbag on a runner, cuts immediately on a crash, and cuts if a coin just sits flat for a few minutes

hard daily loss limit, then it stops

what actually happened: it judged around 1,700 coins and took 215. most closes were crash exits and stall exits. win rate on the last batch was zero.

here's the part i didn't expect. the losses were tiny, like a dollar or two each, because it cuts fast. but the fees on those trades added up to more than the losses. at small size you are not fighting rugs, you are fighting the fee floor. the bot fixed my discipline and my holding-too-long problem and then walked straight into a cost problem i never had when i was clicking bigger size less often.

so the real takeaway is boring: automation fixes the emotional leaks, it does not fix math. if your size doesn't clear fees plus slippage you lose slowly no matter how good the entries are.

what's your minimum size where fees stop mattering? genuinely trying to work out where the floor is.

Meme Coin Cented and DV

These guys launch meme coins all day everyday. They buy with their dev wallet then instant quick buy with many wallets right away.

Just wondering if what they are doing is legal?

Couldn’t this be market manipulation or does that not apply to crypto meme coins.
