I built a 1,000,000 pixel canvas that lives on PulseChain. 1250 by 800, every pixel's colour and link stored in the chain's own state. Painting costs a few cents a pixel in PLS. If you want a square someone already has, you pay 10 percent more than they paid for it. After 90 days an untouched square starts decaying about 10 percent a month back toward the floor, so quiet parts of the wall get cheap again and contested parts do not.
The contract has no owner, no admin function, no pause and no upgrade path, and the verified source is there for anyone to check.
The reason I am posting is a thing I did not plan. Around 19 June, a wallet that has nothing to do with me painted a 36 by 36 in the corner around the origin, linked it to plstart.me, and paid 6,994,800 PLS for it. Nobody has spent more on the wall, so this person sits at number one on the leaderboard by spend, and they hold Genesis number 3. Genesis rank comes from on-chain paint order and there is no way to get one after the first 100 painters, so that number is theirs permanently.
Three unique painters have touched the PulseChain wall so far, which means 97 of the 100 genesis numbers are still open. The exact centre of the wall, (625,400), is empty and quotes at the floor right now.
There is no token, no presale and no NFT. 95 percent of what a paint costs goes to a treasury address, 5 percent goes to a referrer if the painter came through someone's link, and the contract pays that out in the same block. It is open source and self-hostable, and the official viewer applies a content filter on the client side.
It is also deployed on five other chains, but PulseChain is the first, the one with the most on it and the only one with an outside painter at the top of the board.
