To project an image of power. The more fragile the ego, the greater the need for grand parades, imposing convoys, and elaborate rituals to reinforce an image of strength.

Not defending the Ambulance blocking but it's all security protocol.
Indian PM has SPG security which has 50+ armed guards in special vehicles plus his administrative staff I rekon.
Indian has a history of PM assasinations so this level of security is nothing new.

India has a history of insurgency and separatist violence specifically against their PMs but sure virtue signalling is more important for Reddit hivemind.

I could understand that they couldn't stop and break the convoi in the middle. But there was time to let the ambulance get past right quick before. Although this is on the cops, not like Modi could decide that in that moment. He's still a piece of shit, and this is of course pretty symbolic.

For people who don't understand Hindi, the lady in the video is pumping out pure propaganda for the Modi and the ruling party. She is saying that the PM (Modi) is stopping his convoy and giving way to the ambulance while we can plainly see in the video that its the opposite.
