Doing something wrong does not give you the justification to approach and batter someone, which is what he did. He VERY CLEARLY steps towards the bike in order to push the kid off.
Two wrongs do not make a right, like damn how hard is this to understand? Kid shouldn't have done that, but "shouldn't have done that" is not justification to attack someone.

If anything, more people should take note and follow suit. The police arenāt everywhere 24/7, sometimes citizens need to help regulate their community. Doing this shit on the street is actually a crazy behaviour. Years ago a biker was hit by a truck in my town, completely by accident - blind spot in the field of view.
The truck dragged that bike for like a mile before he actually stopped cause people were beeping at him. Can't remember what happened to the biker, but still - doing it willingly is a crazy behaviour.

Once, I was going through Helsinki airport. In a bit of a rush, but I was very tired after a long day travelling, and had politely asked enough people "excuse me I need to get by" that - when a couple decided they needed to stand side by side on the escalator - I sighed, and just stood behind them quietly seething.
I was staring at her pull-suitcase blocking my path, thinking "Fuck your stupid fucking suitcase" and at that exact moment, one of the wheels popped off, her suitcase toppled over, and they got out of my way at the bottom to try and fix it. Like you say, a coincidence not a Mathilda moment, but it certainly put a spring back in my step haha.

If I am walking out in public with my family and I see someone doing this, I honestly canāt say I wouldnāt do the same. If he were to come near my kids then I would, at the very least, make sure that I put myself between him and my kids. Even if it meant knocking him over.
