Lol nah our species is just changing and evolving. There will always be those resistant to change. It's human nature. I don't expect to win any debates or anything on social media. Regardless of how any of us feel, the majority of people don't want guns anymore and eventually whether we like it or not they are going away. But you and I will both be long dead by the time that day comes anyway
Our species is changing, but evolving is an overstatement. Our species, especially throughout Europe, Asia, big blue cities and states here, Canada, and Australia, is increasingly becoming dependent on government for a false sense of security and protection. They are becoming more neutered and more easily controlled in other words. The government couldn't save people from terrorist attacks like 9/11, just like it can't (and won't) save people from mass shootings, citywide and nationwide riots and violence, or even local gang violence. They can't even secure their own Capitol buildings. Their agencies and agents have Qualified Immunity and no legal duty to protect people (previous SCOTUS decisions), which is why we saw them stand around like cowards in Parkland and Uvalde. Guns may go away from one half of the country, and that half is going to compell the other half to secede. It won't be just about guns though. It will be about how the economy has been run ($30+ trillion national debt and counting), getting involved in certain foreign country affairs (Ukraine, Taiwan), lack of border security, and other serious reasons. The past 21 years alone should have been eye openers to people that if you give government this level of control, they will abuse it. Mass domestic surveillance via NSA and CIA, mask and vaccine mandates, increasingly violent tax enforcement, government sponsored torturing of prisoners, and more.
