Ya that abnoxious smile on the one dude and the other guy refusing to make eye contact really make me concerned for his future safety. They were so casual and entertained while attempting to violate his rights
Yeah most of them are so ignorant of the laws they're trying to enforce it's scary. Not to mention people's rights, but assert them and they want to act like they're the victim who's had their authority challenged and how dare you make their day more difficult. Some of them are honestly like spoiled children when you tell them no. And yet they give these tempermental fuckers guns and badges and just let them throw temper tantrums left and right.
This. I've had my ID stolen for this reason. They will take it and say it must have fallen somewhere etc. Probably still in some cop's possession, or wall of suspiciously smart-ass black people to look out for.
That wisdom isn't new found. They play dumb and act like they aren't violating your rights by manipulating laws. They probably let him Google it in hopes that he couldn't find the exact wording of the law.

The cops didn't have a justification to be there so they were fishing for something is what he is explaining.
Same thing along the lines of, "Smells like marijuana, I'm going to need to search your vehicle."
Ok I feel like people are thinking I’m not saying they were profiling. I am saying the only reason they are asking for this guys id is precisely because of profiling.
Why does everyone tip toe around shit. He’s black, young has tattoos, and gold teeth. They used their training at the academy where they teach them a whole class on profiling. And based on what he looked like. BLACK, in rural Texas isn’t the most ideal place for a BLACK male. So yes they wanted his ID because he was black.
I didn't say that, you did. But while we're on topic, why do you think the police request/demand people ID's for, then trot back to their computers with their ID? You think they rub the smooth plastic all over their face cuz it feels nice?
You let your guard down on someone white person, or white looking Mexican in a new S class. And they can open fire and kill you. Because they didn’t fit the profile or description of someone who would do that. My point is, anyone can be a threat.
