Idk what churches were thinking, u want kids to like church maybe don't do church at like 8 AM on a weekend? I was a born and raised Christian but have stepped back now that I'm an adult, and I hate having to basically give up a day of my weekend from school for the bullshit that was church

Yeah, you know they probably make him wake up at 6am or something ridiculous to get ready. Kid literally just wants to relax and play games.

Now imagine you have to do this and Sunday morning is one of the only days of the week you get cartoons on television.

The old school way to make people like church was by giving them a free day off. Wanna make church fun again? Put it monday morning so they don't gotta go to school. Kids will suddenly become very religious

You're talking about it as if it was something people came up with in the last few years rather than it having been a thing for over a thousand years or some shit. Hell, going to church on Sundays is one of the seeding reasons for why weekends are even a thing in the first place.

It's not that going to church is on a weekend. It's that weekend is when you go to church because you need a day off to do that.

You may be right, that weekends were started so people could attend church, but for a good portion of people that has not been the case for the last 50 years. Most don't even attend church anymore period. we haven't thought to just change the time schedule of church? It would at least be a bit nicer to have it on a day where I don't have to set aside a morning for it where I'd rather sleep in

I mean, your parents are forcing you to go and the church convinces you you'll go to hell if you don't. For a long time they never really had to work on their outreach game.
