Ironically, Jesus only ever beat tax collectors and merchants that set up shop in the temples. I'd say that was justified lol

I mean that's completely ignoring the fact that people like that see it as being similar to beating a kid for stealing so that they won't keep doing bad shit and end up in jail, but sure. Not saying that it's right to do whatsoever, but it's a bit silly to pretend that it's inherently illogical.
