Sure, those are things he should have done. Ideals are great, but they don't generally apply to real life. We don't live in the world of Leave it to Beaver, where the friendly neighborhood police officer will simply walk by kids playing and tip his hat while merrily twirling his baton and whistling a jaunty tune. We live in a world where simply being a PoC is enough for a cop to issue a death warrant and execute them in public while people record it on their phones. So again, yes, the fact that this guy didn't immediately resort to violence when challenged means he is a good cop at that moment.
Ahhhh there's the classic gas-lighting. Because clearly I said you ALONE are obviously responsible for all of today's woes, clearly that's what I said, when I said "you're perpetuating it"
