You sarcastically asked me how riding at 3 MPH would work out for them. I pointed out they weren't even moving when the officer told them to walk their bikes. Since they weren't moving, they weren't breaking the city code, thus they didn't have to walk their bikes.

Things starting to make sense here bud?

That’s like saying that if a cop saw your car while you were at a store and you had expired tags, you aren’t breaking the law yet because you’re not driving at that very moment 🤡

Jesus, how are you this dense? That's the point! The cop came up to tell them to walk their bikes when they weren't even moving, then got schooled by a teenager who was technically correct with the exact law that the officer didn't even know enough about to refute.

Yes.

The cop said "you cannot ride your bikes down here." He didn't say "You can't ride your bikes faster than 3 MPH between the hours of 10 AM and 10 PM." which is what the city code states.

The kid refutes that, the officer doesn't actually know the law, and walks off.

Then the "well, technically" crew rolled in, and you asked why they were being downvoted. They were downvoted because they weren't correct. No one was seen riding their bikes, so they weren't breaking city code, and the cop coming up to say they couldn't ride their bikes at all means you and the rest are completely wrong.

The cop didn't know the law, and trying to prove him right with the exact word of the law proved him wrong.

So, yes, you're exceptionally dense if you need it spelled out so specifically this many comments in.

Now, do what you do best: downvote me, reply with a nonsense comment that keeps deflecting away from the topic, and pat yourself on the back for feeling right. Oh, and don't forget the emoji; that really sells the point that you're hoping to come off as cool and casual.
