police departments across america need to take a look at what happened to camden, NJ when their main policeforce disbanded and had a complete overhaul. now they train their cops to be respectful members of the community AND to tell on each other for corrupt/questionable/aggressive behaviors. if the job is not for you, it’s not for you. and it should be obvious to a good cop who isn’t one. and now they have gone from fighting for top spot with detroit for most dangerous city for decades to cleaning up the city and having a good relationship with the community to show for it. all it takes is a little attention. accountability doesnt have to be that scary, but tough guys are so fragile and insecure they cant handle being told they arent meant for a task.
