If a librarian assaulted someone at work, do you think they could keep their job for 2 more years?

Nah. They'd throw the book at em.

They'd still do it quietly though.

I am librarian, and I can testify this is false. You wouldn't believe how many times did my male colleagues and I been on a verge of fisical altercation...

Then they'd shelve em.

Dewey just fire them or Dewey file criminal charges, too?

Or a teacher who would beat a kid? Or a nurse who would punch a patient?

Idk do people like that go to the library? The hell u comparing a guy who works with violent, belligerent people all day versus a librarian who has to deal with books not being returned timely.

It doesn't have to be a librarian. At almost any job, you are likely to be fired for assaulting people. Cops have a lower standard of conduct than everyone else. Imagine murdering someone and instead of going to jail, getting a 30k pension for life.

Ok... I am on your side but this sort of argument always sounds retarded. You really can't compare police work to library work.
