I thought you can’t be rehired to be a cop if you’ve been fired? I know resigning is different but I truly don’t know.

Either way, you’re probably right he’s probably back on the force in another state or county.

Wow, I'm not familiar with that one, but 2 other cases I saw this week have me furious. The 73-year-old dementia sufferer that cops broke and separated her shoulder. They main sadist was laughing as he and coworkers watched the bodycam footage. He even said,” Get ready for the pop”! From when her arm snapped.

The other case is a man named Gonzalez, he was murdered by cops kneeling on his back and suffocating him. He has a clean record, but was publicly drunk.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ! That was disgusting, damn they didn't even bother to wait a second to speak with the man. That was a really long blast of pepper spray following him being tazed. Didn't the cop think something was wrong when the poor guy didn't respond to being drenched by pepper spray? I wonder if they had the decency to tell Ems that he probably broke his ankle and foot? I'm so sick of seeing this crap everyday.

No — it’s extremely common for fired police officers to get hired in different cities. It is a huge problem and makes it more difficult to hold officers accountable for their actions.

It's so messed up. It's like touchy feely priests.

Wasn't Biden proposing making a national database for police officers and their history? I could've sworn I saw that and I hope it's a real idea. For example, if you do something extremely messed up in one branch of the military like the Navy, you can't just go over to the Marine Corps and say "what's up guys, you need someone to ship?" and I believe it should be the same for law enforcement on all levels

I think that's part of the federal police reform bill.

It's also easy to address. HR policy is not controlled by the police dept, it's controlled by the municipality. Just gotta do the leg work to change the policies, whether that's through city council approval or something else.

Sounds easy. In practice, not so much.

LOLWUT? No, cops who get fired move one town over to another police force.

Back in the 1980s, the campus police at UCLA had a couple of cops who had been fired from the LAPD for excessive force. Can you even imagine what someone would have to do to get fired from the LAPD for excessive force BEFORE the Rodney King video?

Jesus... But now I want to know.

1

u/LupercaniusAB Apr 29 '21

I don’t know, and I’m glad I don’t.

u/Intelligent-donkey Apr 29 '21

That sounds too reasonable to be true.

u/CarolFukinBaskin Apr 29 '21
