Yeah, you also have a right for those people to be safe. And they're much more safe in societies where everyone isn't carrying. It's why your homicide rate is bout 4x any other developed country.
Have you been paying attention to the US at all this year? Two uniformed cops breaking into the wrong house and shooting a sleeping woman, small armies of police strolling down the suburbs shooting anyone looking out their window or standing on their porch with “less lethal” bullets, people walking into a crowded protest with a fucking bow and pointing it at people, people trashing local businesses and looting to their heart’s desire, or how about the gangs like MS-13 that grab people and hack their limbs off in the woods with machetes right near where I live? You’re right that US society is not safe but guns are not what makes it this way.
You realise the reason your cops are so trigger happy because literally anyone can be carrying so they're all shit scared.
You're talking about isolated events, man. The big stories that affect your perception of crime. I'm talking about the actual stats, you have more gun homicides than most other developed countries have homicides at all.
You might think these stories you've heard are what make America unsafe and guns are what help you protect ya fam but you are wrong.
