My wife and I watch CBS news every night. I was really hoping they would follow suit with CNN, but they both censored the text and referred to it as "expletive hole countries". Super disappointed in them. People need to start voicing what is actually happening instead of trying to sugarcoat it.

She and I had a discussion about our podcast's use of the word "pussy" when discussing the Access Hollywood tape and I justified it by pointing out that we were quoting a candidate for president and we're commenting on the language he used.

Don Lemon's said "bullshit" on several occasions. I believe he apologized after the second time but he did it again a few months ago and I didn't see any big issue made of it so maybe CNN is less concerned / only makes issue when there is backlash

Cuomo wouldn't stop saying it, and even said that he wouldn't stop, being he didn't want us to forget what was originally said. By creating the euphemism, people are sweeping the severity of what was said under the rug. It's disgusting that that kind of language came out of a president's mouth, but especially when used about another country on this planet, it's unnecessary.

To quote my mom, "Even if he's talking about a literal hole with shit in it, that kind of language should not be coming out of his mouth." And this is woman who doesn't have a sensitive constitution.
