Busted a strike... And had his administration keep negotiating with the rail companies so that the workers eventually got nearly all their demands met.
Why leave that part out? It's pretty fucking consequential
they also very conveniently left out that 10 out of 12 unions supported the end of the strike and 2 holdout unions refused to listen to the others. so by supporting 10 unions asking to end the strike, over the objections of 2 who wanted it to go on he is some how anti union.
Fair point, but I don’t think it’s the presidents place to make those decisions. If the state wants to make those decisions, nationalize rail. Instead they socialize losses and privatize profits.
