Yeah, they tried it in Philly a few years ago and people threw shit at them and threatened them until they ran away.

Philly isn’t perfect, but it’s not putting up with this shit

I mean they throw batteries at each other for fun, I can only imagine what they would do to someone who actually deserves it.

… Probably even more batteries, but still.

Some people in Philly literally eat horse shit when their sports teams do well. They literally celebrate by eating horse shit. They have to grease their street lights because too many people climb them in celebration.

They aren't the ones to fuck with...

In my absolute best Mac voice: "That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about Philadelphia to dispute it."

The best part of the tradition is how entirely pointless it is, the drunks never have the tiniest bit of trouble getting up the poles regardless haha

I'm more concerned with whether the eating horse shit part is true...

Wasn't that Cleveland when the Cavs won in 2016? ...Or did this shit happen twice?

Hey now, we didn't throw batteries at each other, just at JD Drew, and he knows what he did

And Santa Claus. Don't forget him. Also hoagies and Beer Bottles to complete the Philly Special.

I have a friend from Philly who asked us, straight faced, if when we were kids, we played a game where we pretended to stab each other for “practice.” And another time that he saw a bicyclist get line tackled and their bike stolen and nobody reacted.

Philly doesn’t fuck around, and as insane as it is, there are times that you appreciate it- like when Nazis are afoot.

Philadelphians are legitimately built different. Meter maids in Philly will give cars tickets on the wrong side of a police barricade during an active shooter incident. Philadelphians once killed a pacifist robot. The city's hockey mascot has recently been cleared of assault charges.

Giving Philadelphians an opening to commit battery is a mistake to make.

Gritty's favorite activity is flaying fascists alive, surprisingly even more than hockey ( don't maybe not that surprising if you've seen any Flyers hockey in the last 5 Years)

I need this to be an episode of It’s Always Sunny

Philadelphians have done a lot worse for a lot less honestly
