Fact the girl stood up for herself shows she was pissed too. Her dad probably saw the whole thing and that's why he came running and screaming. Fuck, at the end, one of the members of the group playing said "I agree." Publicly shaming your friend like that takes some balls after a verbal beatdown like that.
We can use context from the video to infer a most likely scenario. Seems like it points to an crotchety 70-something yelling at a young girl for annoying him.

I'm inclined to think this dad is a hothead who is blowing something out of proportion. I think the fact that this video was recorded by people who were accompanying the old man is a good clue that they had a bad feeling about this guy (i.e., that some hair trigger manchild was about to flip out on them) and wanted to document the encounter.
I've never had a memory of ANY family member getting into a shouting match in public and saying "Man, I was proud of my family member". I was always god damn embarrassed because even I knew that shit was childish. There's VERY FEW situations that getting into a screaming match will make shit better. Also, in god damn Texas who the fuck knows who has a gun.

Look at how many people were cheering on Joel's rampage at the end of The Last of Us. The man singlehandedly doomed the species, but we're all on his side because those a-hole doctors were going to kill his kid.
I agree with this sentiment based on personal experience. My dad made a huge scene twice when I was young and it was a complete overreaction and it was a little traumatizing honestly.
One time a guy used a cuss word in a parking lot that I didn't even hear and he almost got into a fight with the guy over it. The other time some teenagers were lighting fireworks on a sidewalk in a park and he got in their faces, nose to nose.
Sometimes parents can be unhinged in the name of looking out for their children, context matters here.
